The Capital Grille near the Capitol is simply outstanding. I’ve been here over 20 times, and the food is consistently amazing. I usually go with the ribeye, cooked perfectly every time, and their cheeseburger is one of the best lunch options in DC. Most recently, I had the seared tenderloin with butter-poached lobster tails, and it absolutely delivered.

But what truly sets this place apart is the service. It’s hands down the best service I’ve experienced in the nation’s capital. The staff is polished, attentive, and makes every visit feel special.

Akim, in particular, is my go-to. He’s incredible and remembers your order, anticipates what you need, and makes you feel like a VIP every time. He’s honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back.

Food was great.
Service was great until we requested separate checks. Then he got a sudden attitude with our party and was silent to us. I’ve never seen a waiter get so upset for just doing his job but whatever.
The food makes up for it I guess. Very clean restaurant and all the other staff were nice.
All members of our party enjoyed the food we ordered.
Door staff were friendly and there was a nice heater by the doorway. Artwork was tasteful and pretty to look at. Ambient volume was low enough to have conversations without issue.
Parking garage available not too far away.

We had appetizers of the the Smoked bacon with Korean BBQ and the prosciutto wrapped Mozzarella, both very tasty. Steaks were prepared perfectly to temp. I went for the Halibut special in safron sauce with shitake mushrooms. it did not dissapoint. The parmesan truffle fries were a hit. And the Creme Brulee reminded me of New Orleans.I recommend this restaurant highly.

Went there with a friend for a snack. The calimari was really good. It was done very well, breading was nice and lite. There were a lot of peppers. The French onion soup had great flavor. There was not a lot of bread or onions. Waiter was very friendly. The place us clean. It was very crowded and pretty noisy at times, but we were near the bar.

Last night we celebrated our Anniversary at The Capitol Grille DC…it was AMAZING! The staff made this an unforgettable night for us, taking care of us every step of the way. Adam our server really stood out for his exceptional service. He was attentive, informative and lifted our mood all evening.
Lobster bisque was on point, salmon & halibut dishes were excellent and the Generous Pour was a great way to go. We’ll be back!

What an absolutely wonderful experience, courtesy of Manuel Portocarrero and the hard-working, professional team at Capital Grille. Food was astounding, flavor bursting out of each bite. The service was spectacular. This didnt feel like a generic restaurant, trying to give you a quick slapped-together meal and skirt you out as quickly as possible– this was an experienced team of chefs and service staff, ready to bring their skills to the table!
