Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant’s on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille’s wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 – 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. If you’re debating on coming here, go! It’s an excellent fine dining option if you’re looking for a sophisticated ambiance and selection. Food was superb, we did not feel rushed despite being there towards closing hours on a Saturday, and I received complimentary birthday champagne, card, and dessert. Staff were patient and kind, the appetizers were great portions, and the drinks were made to perfection.

My wife and I have spent years going to this location for, spending countless special events here. I can, with full certainty, say that they provide an intimate experience and wonderful food. We especially recommend you try the Lamb chops and Ribeye! For sides, our top recommendations would be their creamy, rich truffle mashed potatoes or their lobster mac and cheese, which is remarkably generous/more plentiful than expected.
While you’re there, ask for Eric! My wife and I have had the pleasure of accidentally having him as our waiter for years. Now when we go, we ask for him because we know he’s the best in the business.

Had a very good experience here for Valentine’s Day. Our server was Jermaine. Great guy, super professional, knowledgable, and attentive. He definitely earned the 25% tip provided. Food, atmosphere, service, food… all top notch. Only knock was that the potatoes au gratin were stone cold upon being served at our table. Had to give the four stars in the food category instead of the five because of that. It’s great that the valet stand is literally at the front door. Really adds to the experience. Very highly recommend. Five stars in general overall.

What an amazing Anniversary dinner at The Capitol Grille in Stamford.
Such a nice surprise to see confetti and a sweet note at our table. Greeted with 2 glasses of prosecco and the nicest waiter Andreas who took care of our every need.
Lobster crab cake was OUTSTANDING, calamari was really good but a bit spicy for us and the tuna tartare was yummy. Our steaks came overdone but they fixed it with no issue and they were delicious. I had the tomahawk veal chop and hubby had the rib eye, we split the creamed corn and mashed. Again, delicious.
Do not pass on the coconut cream pie. All I can say is OMG!!!!
The food was fantastic and went from a 10 to a 20 because of the above and beyond service and special attention they showed us to celebrate.
To end the evening the took a photo of us and presented it in a card with another lovely note.

This is place is what I call my good ole reliable lol! My experience is always great. It could be 2 months or 3 years out you always feel welcomed! I came here after leaving a previous restaurant because it did not feel welcoming and as soon as I walked in capital grille it felt like home. It was my birthday and our server was Ali who I think looks like bad bunny haha! My husband and I thought he was amazing and of course the food is always superb! My husband surprised me for our 45 anniversary for dinner here. It was wonderful. Our table was beautifully decorated. We both had a Caesar Salad, Miso Seabass, and of course a variety of fabulous breads. Our waiter Andres Bravo who made the dinner so much more enjoyable. Andres was kind and fulfilled all our needs. Have been here twice for my birthday. Greeting staff and server (Joseph) were genuinely hospitable and attentive to my guest and I. The food is really good here—well seasoned and the right temperatures! Would recommend the field greens salad, tomahawk veal chop, steaks and the mashed potatoes here! By far, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Would highly recommend!
