Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant’s on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille’s wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 – 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. Wish I could give them more stars!!
My husband and I went to celebrate our 14th anniversary.
The people at the hostess station were so friendly and welcoming.
We had reservations and were seated pretty quickly.
Our table had a beautiful card with hand written, Happy Anniversary along with rose petals sprinkled over the table.
Our server, Sarah, was extremely knowledgeable and had great recommendations.
Service was top notch and from appetizer to dessert, the food was AMAZING.
The chef sent out a couple of samples of other offerings from their menu along with a beautiful complementary anniversary dessert
Sarah was even kind enough to take our picture and gift it to us in a picture insert.
We loved everything from beginning to end.
Although we are about an hour from them, we will most definitely be back.

The Capital Grille in Salem is exceptional from start to finish. The steaks are perfectly cooked, the sides are full of rich flavor, and the atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable. Our server, John Motto, was outstanding—one of the best we’ve ever had. When one of our steaks came out overcooked, he immediately took care of it with professionalism and zero hesitation. He had a new one out quickly, took the steak off the bill, and even offered us a dessert to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail and genuine care made the entire experience memorable. Highly recommend!

Beet and arugula salad was delish…dressing incredibly good, bone-in NY strip was cooked perfectly and the added Gorgonzola was a great addition to an already great steak. Our tables sides included brussle sprouts, mac and cheese, truffle fries and corn. All were very good. Service for a busy New Year’s Eve was top notch. Thanks Cap Grille…can’t wait to go back!

A group of 7 of I went in Saturday night for a family dinner and everything about it was amazing! We had Joao as a server and Anthony as his helper, they were both spectacular and very attentive at every second. All of us enjoyed our food and drinks! The food was a 10/10, The service was a 10/10 and the atmosphere was amazing! Thank you to Anthony and Joao for an amazing night!

Nice atmosphere and service. Food is underwhelming. Ribeye looked big but was disspointingly thin. Very underwhelming for $80. Honestly get a better and much thicker ribeye from inside the steak case at Texas Roadhouse for under half the price. Potato al gratin wasn’t tasty and likewise dissapointing. Not worth it.

We live in this neighborhood and decided to give this place a chance. Walked in to the loudest restaurant I have ever experienced like a buffalo wild wings during the Superbowl. I was stunned. Conversation was virtually impossible.
Service was reasonably quick and came at a reasonable cadence. We ordered all at once so there wasn’t much to do. Drinks were ok. Got a Cosmo and a signature martini. Neither were particularly good and had a watery post taste. Might be the vodka choice but wasn’t living up the hype. Had the tuna tartare for an appetizer. That was fine. Didn’t have enough chips ended up using the bread to finish. Nothing exciting just an average appetizer.
For the mains we went with scalloped potatoes , veal and scallops with risotto. The risotto was slightly crunchy and underdone. Scallops were perfect though. Veal was cooked perfectly with a great mushroom base. Again nothing exciting just a very average meal minus the risotto.
For the area this place is great. In general it’s average to below average. Premium price at less than premium experience.

We came here for my wife’s birthday and the staff and service were amazing. They were kind and even put a card at our table before we arrived. Our server was knowledgeable about the food and wine. We have dined at many Boston steakhouses and we are so happy the Capital Grille opened this location. Service was top notch all around, like we were in the city. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The food was very good, mushrooms could have used a little bit more seasoning, but still tasty. A great experience all around.

Melissa is the absolute best waitress we’ve ever had. We dine out at least twice a week and we’ve never had anyone treat us with so much care and attention to detail! She’s absolutely amazing.
