Located in a classic small southern town, with a motto of, “Someplace special,” you’re sure to be impressed!
An easy, worthwhile stop off of I59, Hwy 15 or Hey 18, you’re sure to be impressed! I’ve lived down south from literally, coast to coast and in between, and the quality of food, service, and overall value is at the top of the charts!
Regularly serving cafeteria style lunches with an optional short menu to order from, and a very impressive supper menu, that’s very reasonably priced. Hosting group events and live music, with many friendly locals and visitors, The Camphouse is a gem with a southern charm that is sure to have you leaving a Google review similar to this! 😉
Safe travels, enjoy your visit, and make sure you say hi to the owner, Mr. Kevin!
We ran into a lot of old acquaintances, church family and friends, so that made the night out all the more enjoyable. And for the amount of food we got, the price was right on point. I see why the seating is limited. If you haven’t tried it or are just visiting the town. Stop by and be ready to become family.
Cafeteria style: pick 1 main dish, 2 sides, a bread, and a drink.
All this for approximately $14.00.
I had: Lasagna, sweet corn, “loaded” green beans (cut geen beans, bacon, pearl onions, bell peppers), a roll, and a glass of sweet tea.
I’ve never had Lasagna with chunk tomatoes, not bad; just different (Several chunks were HARD, like stem).
The green beans had a large piece of stem in it.
Other than above issues, the food was well prepared and tasty, with decent size portions.
While dining, a staff member came around inquiring if i needed anything, and brought me a free drink refill (I dined in).
Overall, not a bad place to eat.
