The Cakewalk shop is AMAZING! They made us the most perfect wedding cake. We had a dream of having pressed flowers on the cake, and they perfectly executed the vision. It was more beautiful than any of the inspiration pictures we shared!! It was also so delicious!!! I really wanted to love this place because the cakes are visually stunning, but unfortunately, my experience echoed some of the older reviews here. I ordered a sampler box and while the portions were generous, the cake itself was incredibly hard and tasted like they have been sitting there for a few days. For a wedding cake, texture is just as important as the look, and I couldn’t even bring myself to take a second bite of some slices. Disappointing given how beautiful the presentation is.

I am so incredibly glad that I found this bakery to make our wedding cake! We tried at least seven other bakeries and just kept being let down over and over by the samples. We were looking for an excellent carrot cake, but couldn’t find what we wanted. I decide to try one more place before giving up on cake and google led me to this place. The samples we tried were SO DELICIOUS. We were both completely blown away by all of the flavors we tried – we ended up picking two flavors that weren’t even carrot cake (which was delicious) because they were so good and unique. We got one tier of Almond Latte and one of Brown Butter Toffee. Johanna was so easy to book with and the cake they made was exactly what I had pictured. At pick up she let me know they accidentally made it slightly smaller than ordered so they had made us cupcakes to make up for those serving and gave a partial refund. The cake was delicious. I have not stopped thinking of it ever since. I look forward to the next time I have an excuse to order from them! I HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding cake/dessert needs. You will NOT be disappointed.

Amazing bakery! We have used them twice now, for a cake for our daughter’s christening and then a smash cake and cupcakes for her first birthday party. Not only is everything they make beautiful, but it is delicious as well. The cake is moist and flavorful and the icing is to die for. All of their flavors sound incredible, but we have only tried the vanilla and raspberry since it was so good the first time. Great value for the baked goods and also excellent customer service and communication from the owners.
I’m editing a couple years later just to add that we’ve continued to love this bakery, and also share a plug for their monthly cake tasting boxes. We picked one up yesterday and it was a really fun dessert and experience for us. It was a perfect amount for my family of three to have as dessert for two days—tried three slices the first day and 3 the second. All the flavors were delicious (our favorite remains vanilla raspberry!) and it was a really fun thing for our family to do together.

We bought a cake here for my mother’s birthday party. It was gorgeous and looked exactly how we expected!
Unfortunately, the cake was extremely dry and crumbly, it seemed like it may have been a few days old. My guests all really seemed to like the blackberry lemon filling, but I was really disappointed. For $250, I expected blackberry compote, not blackberry flavored frosting. I didn’t finish my piece.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the flavor and the probable age of the cake and I wouldn’t buy a cake here again. For $250, I expected the cake to have been made same day of my event and to be made with fresh ingredients.
If all you’re looking for is a beautiful cake, thought, then this place definitely has that!

Great cake shop! They had efficient communication with me, delivered a great product, and were fun to work with. I had to find a new cake baker for my wedding after my other cake baker closed up shop and I’m so glad I found them! They were responsive to e-mails and ran me through everything once I was in the shop since I had never done a cake tasting prior. I let them know I was sweating trying to just pick 4 flavors to try and low and behold they had made a cupcake of the 5th flavor I was looking to try and let me try it! I was so thankful and continue to keep going in to buy cupcakes from them since they are SO delicious. I was very grateful that they helped me plan the right amount of cake and cupcakes for my wedding, we only had 10 cupcakes left at the end of the night and 1/4 of the 2-tiered wedding cake. I was easily able to distribute the cupcakes to a few close people the next day so they didn’t go to waste. These are the ladies to help you plan your small and large group cake needs!

My husband and I had a fantastic time working with this amazing mother and daughter duo! Working with Johanna was a great experience and she made all the communicating super easy. It was easier than I expected to work through the design process virtually. They captured our vision perfectly and we got our dream wedding cake! It was gorgeous and TASTY!! All the flavors we tried at their adorable shop were delicious so it was a difficult choice. They delivered the cake and decorated it with flowers from our florist at the venue and when we first saw our cake, it was a very special moment! We highly recommend working with them – it was a fantastic experience! We will be getting anniversary cakes from them in the future 🙂
