Reviews
The first table they sat us at was the most awkward design we have ever experienced. The narrow table was rotated against the wall lengthwise so we were super far apart from each other, but worse than that was the height of the booth chairs. They were very tall (I’m almost six and a half feet tall and my feet didn’t reach the ground) and there was no foot rest under the table to ease the discomfort. We were able to switch to a traditional booth.
The King Eric cocktail was good, although you would be hard pressed to convince me it has a full serving of liquor in it.
On to the food. The best we can say is simply that it was ‘fine’. As you can see in the photos the chicken parm was terribly under sauced and they way they plated it only one of the two pieces of chicken had any cheese, the tuna bowl was mostly grain/rice with only tiny piece of tuna and the cheesesteak roll was extremely soft and fell apart while trying to eat. Overall all of the dishes were salted correctly and the flavor was not bad, but we definitely will not be returning. The meal was by no means cheap and it seems like the restaurant really cut corners to try and increase profits. All in all we spent $100 for the items in the photos.
** The Cage’s response shows they don’t pay much attention to customer feedback in regards to improving. The 2-star review had nothing to do with the awkward seating and was directly due to do with the food being a horrible value for the high prices. **
Dislikes:
Reservation was set for 8pm, NEVER INFORMED the main menu last order was to be placed by 9pm.
Second, we bought in our cake and were still charged $15 for our cake. We hope those to inquiries are changed because they both were never announced.
Definitely potential as a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ inexpensive restaurant.
The food was delicious. And, the service was warm and friendly, but i expect that a restaurant that is so nice in these ways to charge one price for everyone.
And some of the tables with slatted wood need to have the food crumbs that collect between the tables cleaned out. They’re dirty and look unsanitary.
However, the service at our table was disappointing. Our server seemed indifferent, and we had to wait a long time. They didn’t pay much attention to our table, so we had to call them twice for basic things like extra plates and our drinks.
In a restaurant with such good food and ambiance, we hoped for better service. Hopefully, this can be improved in the future!
The vibe inside was relaxed but modern, with great service and a cool atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a chill meal but still feel like you’re treating yourself. We’ll definitely be back!
The Vibe
Walking into The Cage, you’re immediately struck by the “urban jungle” aesthetic—think lush greenery, neon signs, and “caged” design elements that give the space a high-energy, lounge-like feel. It’s a popular spot for date nights or a trendy brunch with friends.
The menu is impressively diverse, leaning heavily into “global fusion.” Whether you’re there for their famous craft cocktails (like the Posh & Becks or the Cruyff’s Cup) or a full meal, the quality remains consistent.
Small Plates: The Korean Tacos (filet mignon with kimchi) and the Cheesesteak Roll-Ups are standout starters—crunchy, savory, and perfect for sharing.
Main Courses: Their bowls and salads are a major draw for the lunch and dinner crowd. The Southwest Chicken Salad and the Ginger Tuna Bowl offer fresh, bright flavors that don’t feel too heavy.
Brunch: If you’re visiting on the weekend, the Fried Chicken & Waffles with chipotle-infused maple syrup is a must-try for those who love a sweet-and-spicy kick.
Will coming back for trying other things from this place.
The only thing that I wish that my filet from steak and eggs were medium cook seems they didn’t bother to ask me how I want my steaks to be cook so it’s a bit chewy for my taste.
By the way this place need to update the restaurant name on the building itself also in the website open table for reservations.
We were confused at the beginning but we figured it out after. Love the decor
