I met the executive chef a few weeks ago when I was dining in another local restaurant, and he mentioned to me how good their burgers were. He claimed they were better than patty and pints, and he also had a new menu worth checking out so I had to stop in. HE WASN’T LYING THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! This Cafe has bison burgers, as well as 4 other burger options, and the menu is vast. They really bring a spin on the traditional Cafe style dishes. Everything I saw coming out to tables looked very well plated, and sizes were awesome. My wife had the bison short rib stroganoff it was huge, the meat fell off the bone, and the flavor was outstanding. I tried the Lindo valle cheesesteak which had some chorizo, cheese and super soft new York steak inside cheese, poblano & jalapeños with a ciabatta bun. I really wanted to get a feel of the dishes here so I also tried the peppered shrimp & calamari along with the spicy ahi tuna stack. Both rocked. I will say my waiter had to be asked to clear empty dishes and I had to jump on him for more drinks, but he did check for satisfaction after the dishes were served.
One service breakdown I discovered was on a busy Thursday night when there was a line to enter, the signs for the lines are wrong. There is only 1 line to wait but the signs mislead you. Then, the people paying at the counter as if it’s a Denny’s have to cut in the way of the waiting line. They need to shift the waiting line to the right, and let the people exiting to form a line. Then you won’t have people stepping on each other. If every waiter had access to close out by credit cards and comps, and carried a 50 dollar bank everything can and should be handled at the table. This is such a simple fix.
Until then, I just can’t give it 5 stars..

My husband I stopped here around 2pm.
There were no customers, so it was not busy.
We sat in a booth.
The food was pretty good. But the service was terrible. There was no service . There were at least 10 employees in the kitchen. Every-time we wanted something, we needed to get up and go ask the staff.
Doubt if we’ll go back just based on the frustrating service.

I came for Wednesday all you can eat chicken wings special. It was $9.99 . Cant beat the price. Honestly chicken was really good, fries just salty straight from the vendor, cole slaw not enough flavor on dressing, corn bread and honey butter was good. The only complaint that I have the service was slow. When I ask for another chicken, the server is busy all the time with other table. It is not regular AYCE grab by yourself. They bring it to you. You can request what part of chicken you prefer. But will come back again for the food

Here’s an update on The Cafe at Casino Pauma: I don’t know the exact date, by as of 2/1/2023 the new menu’s have been released!! See the photos I’ve posted below.
I’ve been to The Cafe several times and they never disappoint. The weekly specials are great as well. Steak and eggs special for breakfast, Prime Rib dinner special on Tuesday and Thursday nights, Friday night is the Surf and Turf buffet!!

We were new player members and received $20 in food money. The hostess was very nice sat us down quickly. I ordered the Shaved Prime Rib sandwich, it was not good at all. I was disappointed. I took 2 bites and i left the rest. Nothing against the server though she was great!

Always love coming to eat here. Ordered the Pauma taco salad with chicken for the first time. It was amazing!! Very filling could have easily split it with someone as an appetizer.

Arrived at this location as they advertised steak dinners on billboards. My wife and I decided it to try it. We ordered or steaks and I honestly felt like Gordon Ramsey. The steak was reheated and completely dry. It was one of the most expensive items on the menu and it was nasty. Very disappointing. Oh I must add that my side of mash potatoes was not served due to the kitchen running out. How do you run out of food you advertise on billboards across the city. Other than the beautiful scenery not else was good at this restaurant
