The meal was perfectly concluded with a really good espresso, providing a refined and satisfying finish to the overall dining experience.
Elk lasagna, salad venison poppers , duck breast with potato were delicious! Thank you for exceptional service!
Jennifer was absolutely amazing, not just as a bartender but as a person. She has a warm, inviting personality that makes you feel right at home the moment you sit down. Her drink-making skills are highly underrated—balanced, creative, and clearly crafted with care. I was honestly surprised she was the only bartender because she managed everything so smoothly while still taking the time to connect with customers.
What stood out the most was the way she described both drinks and food. She painted such a vivid picture that I was torn on what to order until I heard her recommendations. She knows her craft and brings a personal touch that makes the whole experience memorable.
This is a spot worth going out of your way for—I’d definitely come back.
I don’t often write reviews, but The Cabyn Cocktail Bar & Kitchen absolutely deserves one. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and beautifully curated interior hinted that this was going to be more than just a typical dining experience — and it absolutely delivered.
I ordered the beef rib and the watermelon salad, and both were truly outstanding. The beef rib was enormous and unbelievably tender, with a depth of flavor I’ve never experienced before — rich, smoky, and finished with a vibrant chimichurri that brought it all together. It’s hands-down the most flavorful beef rib I’ve ever had.
The watermelon salad was the perfect contrast — refreshing and bright with juicy chunks of watermelon, crisp cucumber, peppery arugula, and creamy goat cheese, accented by a subtle hint of mint. It was beautifully balanced and could honestly stand on its own as a main course on a hot day.
Even though I’m not usually a drinker, the cocktail menu was too tempting to resist. I tried one of their house creations, and it was not only expertly crafted but also a visual treat. Watching the bartender at work was like watching a live performance — precise, confident, and completely in the zone. She was incredible, and it’s clear that this team takes great pride in what they do.
It’s worth noting that The Cabyn is run by a husband-and-wife team, which adds a wonderful personal touch to the experience. There’s an energy in the room that only comes from people who genuinely care about what they’re building.
The prices were more than reasonable for the quality, and the vibe — cozy, eclectic, and relaxed — makes you want to linger just a little longer.
If you’re anywhere near Baker City, do yourself a favor and stop by The Cabyn. It’s more than a meal — it’s an experience. I’ll absolutely be back.
Indoor vibe is on point! Definitely worth checking out if you’re cruising through Baker City, a local or taking your hunny out for date night.
Food was delicious. I enjoyed the stuffed French toast with house-made cream & the marionberry sauce (pretty generous serving!). Also sipped on Vals Huckleberry cocktail before food arrived (not overly sweet but slightly sour & beautiful presentation).
We will definitely be dropping by again when our travels bring us through.
The service was excellent and the meals were better than the service. There were four in our party and shared a large salad served family style. I personally had the Elk Lasagna with garlic bread and I was thrilled with my choice. Everyone in our party were satisfied with the their meals as well . Definitely a meal to remember.
Everything was outstanding. Service was great too. Will be dining here Everything I’m in town on business. Cheers to Cabyn
The food was INCREDIBLE! Everything was fresh and plated beautifully.
The Venison Poppers were our favorite. The venison was tender and flavorful but no “gamey” taste. Melt in your mouth with a bit of jalapeño heat.
The elk lasagna was a close second. Baked to perfection.
Tiramisu was divine The cocktails were fantastic!
Baker City has a real gem in The Cabyn!
