This restaurant is located in the Best Western hotel but you can enter from the front door facing the parking lot. They are open for Breakfast and lunch till 2:00pm. They used to be open for dinner and have been open for 35 years. A family owned restaurant. The hostess seated us at a booth built for two. There are bigger booths on the other side. Our server was man who I’m not sure if his name but he was very friendly. He took our order and brought us out some delicious bread that was still warm and the butter was soft. I hate cold butter. I ordered the chicken souvlaki $22.50 but it was the special of the day so $1 off and my husband ordered the chicken Parmesan $23.50. The server asked if we wanted more bread and we said yes. The food was delicious. We both enjoyed our meals. I can see why they have lots of regulars and people from the hotel. The place has a cozy feel to it with the matching flowery fabric on the chairs and booths, pinkish chandeliers and dark pink and green
chairs. We didn’t get desert because we were so full on the bread and food. But it’s worth the visit. The elderly man who I assumed was the cook came out to talk to people. The people are all very friendly and the food is good.

The Buttery Restaurant in Newmarket is hands down one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in town. The food is consistently fresh, generous, and full of flavour, with classic comfort dishes done right. You can tell they take pride in using quality ingredients, and the portions definitely don’t disappoint. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Whether you’re stopping in for a relaxed weekend breakfast or a quick weekday lunch, The Buttery delivers every time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and a cozy local vibe.

I just recently went to the Buttery for my surprise 40th birthday brunch with a larger group, kids and adults of all ages. This was my first experience at the Buttery and I was not sure what to expect. From the moment we walk in until the moment we walked out the door, it was a memorable experience!
The staff was INCREDIBLE! Friendly, helpful, efficient and accommodating. It felt like we were amongst family! I can’t stop bragging about the experience in how “I don’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant wherein I was treated with such care”! The staff not only delivered hot delicious food in a timely manner to approx 30 people, they were there every step of the way to ensure everyone had what they needed. They even delivered and cut the cake smiling and singing along with our whole group! It was again like we were amongst family!
Thank you so much to the Buttery for this unforgettable experience! We will definitely be recommending you and returning in the future!

The restaurant was very convenient for its location. I ordered a Greek omelet, which came with potato, toast, and a few slices of apples. Surprisingly, I got charged extra for the veggies they put in the omelet and also for the cheese. They also charged me extra for the coffee, which was told to be included. No one informed me about these extras ahead. The server was nice, but he acted as if these all would be included. In the end, when the breakfast menu costs between 12 to 19 dollars, I end up paying 25 as a total bill. Which I don’t appreciate. I feel the server should inform people ahead at the time of taking the order about what will cost them extra. The ambiance was nice but disappointed with these extras. The taste of the food was good.

Food and service was fantastic. We were in town for a hockey tournament and asked if they could expedite our meal as we only had 30 mins before be had to be in the road. They had us in, ordered, served so quickly it was impressive. The food was great too!

I love this restaurant. Wait staff are so friendly and great at their jobs. Always going over and above their duties. Menu is filled with North American comfort food which I love, so if you’re looking for trendy, fusion cuisine, this is not the place.

My best friend and I came here on his wedding day, and we were absolutely amazed by the quality of service and hospitality. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home—even as we were vlogging! The hospitality was top-notch, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had a personal omelette, and my friend got pancakes—both were delicious and well-prepared. I enjoyed it so much that I came back the very next day and was met with the same warm welcome and friendly faces. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service, making it 100% worth it in my opinion. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place!

I’ve traveled the world and enjoyed eggs benedict in many international regions.
The dish I experienced today topped them all and the flavors and egg consistency were spot on!

Ambience of this restaurant was impeccable. Staff were friendly and warm. Host was welcoming. Lighting was good. Restaurant was super clean with set tables and beautifully decorated. Appetizers were very tasty and entrees were good portions with high quality food items. Great value for portions served. Full wine list and abundant selection of coffees and desserts. Would definitely go again. Great for couples, families, gatherings and socials.
