This place was AMAZING and a
MUST visit if in the area! The gingerbread Christmas decor was nice. Service was excellent and the food was even better! They have an extensive menu with everything made fresh in-house along with a little gift shop. The partridge pearloma cocktail was great! The breakfast croissant was so much bigger than I expected and so very fresh and flaky! The loaded ranchers’ potatoes were delicious.
The Yule log & crème brûlée croissants were delicious as well. I hated that they were closed on Monday because we tried to come back before leaving town.

I cannot say enough good things about BMR. Our waiter Elijah was fabulous; very personable and attentive. He really made us feel welcomed and enhanced our experience. Also the food was incredible! Sometimes restaurants can have a lot of hype on social media and fall flat but this place delivers! We had the bennys, traditional breakfast, and chicken biscuit. It was all delicious but hands down that was the juiciest most flavorful chicken we’ve had in Nashville and we’ve been visiting for a week trying chicken all around town. The portions are generous and all of the food is cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. Absolutely worth the visit! Thank you for a great bite!

I finally made it to the buttermilk ranch, after living in Nashville for over 6 years. I finally was able to go at 8am (when they open) on a Thursday morning, in order to avoid the droves of tourists that frequent this place. It actually makes me mad that this place is inaccessible to locals as the food is really good and the tourists don’t deserve to get full reign over it. I didn’t realize that there were two parts to this place – a coffee and pastry counter and bar and then a full service restaurant. There were the most stunning plants and decor all I’ve the restaurant that I was in awe of. The service was really great, as our server was very known about the menu and all of the top items we should try. The food was really great – but the lemon beignets really took the show. They were even incredible as leftovers the next day. The biscuits were also really great – during the meal and as leftovers. The potatoes were a little dry, but the items served with them made up for it. I also got a snickerdoodle iced coffee that was delectable. My friend got the loaded ranch potatoes that she really enjoyed and the sausage balls which were also good. My breakfast sandwich had the crispiest bacon and was fantastic. I just wish this wasn’t located in 12 south so that more locals could go regularly.

I don’t typically like bustling crowds and loud spaces (and I don’t really wait more than 30min for a table). We waited 1.5 hrs for this table and though it was a bustling atmosphere the wait was well worth it.

The food was very yummy. And our server (Cara I think her name was) was super sweet. She came frequently to check on us and was super helpful with the menu.

The service was awesome and the food was delicious and tasted fresh.
It is expensive so I definitely wouldn’t go often because it is more about the experience, but we enjoyed it and would recommend at least trying out the pastries if you are traveling from out of town.

Our favorite thing on the menu were the beignets. Chefs kiss.
But we also got eggs, house bacon,
The BMR sandwich, and the Nashville sunrise drinks. All yummy.
O and those potato’s on the side. Those were phenomenal. – get those. Those were delicious.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while. I got the bacon bennie with corn gravy and a side of potatoes, my husband got the sausage Benny and my kids got the strawberry short stacks. Everything was incredible. The meats (chefs kiss!), all made in house and you can tell! 10/10 recommend. We will be back. My 6 year old daughter said its the best meal she’s ever had.

Tldr; Incredible brunch notable for their layered crispy pastry delights.

Prior to arriving, add yourself to the wait-list via Google maps because this location is very busy. For us, the approx. wait was 35 mins. However, it is well worth the wait. Parking is difficult, but if you can get a spot beside the store, there is 2 hr free parking. Their pastries, especially croissants, were delicate and crispy delights, with tens of layers. It was like eating a crispy layered cloud. The portions are very generous for the price and the interior decor is on point with the holiday. Highly recommend making a stop here! Will be coming back in the future!

We sat at the bar on New Year’s Day and everything was perfect. In Dry January fashion, I got the N/A Bloody Mary with Pamos THC/CBD. It was perfect. For food, I started with some biscuits, which were divine. I followed that up with The Cube Benny with Chicken Apple Sausage with Ranch Potatoes. This dish was so amazing. The croissant cubes are a masterpiece by themselves. The eggs were perfectly cooked and all of the flavors came together in perfection.

Visiting Nashville for a wedding event and needed a place for breakfast. Butter Milk Ranch popped up on our search and we decided to give it a try. Very busy for good reason, food was very good and staff and atmosphere were top notch. We had the Corned Beef Hash, 12 South Scramble, 2-eggs your way with ranch potatoes, Buttermilk Road Breakfast along with a side of grits. Portions were very large, but meat chunks were large, where I would prefer some smaller pieces in my serving. Grits were a big hit just plain version. We ended up taking a potion of hash and potatoes with us, since we couldn’t finish it all. I definitely would stop here again. My overall rating would be a 4.5, again for minor reasons. There was parking on site but again tight on busy days.

I had a really mixed experience at Buttermilk Ranch. The food was great, especially the beignets! They were light, crisp, and and the lemon custard underneath really edged it out to be one of the best things I’ve eaten this year. Our first two servers were lovely, friendly, helpful, and full of great recommendations. We thought we found a gem.

Then things took a turn. Someone accidentally spilled a full glass of ice water right into my lap. Accidents happen, and I get it, but what happened afterward was disappointing. At first, we were told we couldn’t move tables, even though I was completely soaked, including my socks and shoes. After insisting, we were moved. When I asked if they had anything to help, a towel, blanket, apron, anything, I was told there wasn’t. Eventually, after suggesting it myself, someone brought a T-shirt.

By then my food was cold, and they did replace it. The new plate came out hot and looked much better, which I appreciated. But I was still drenched by the end of the meal. When we asked if they’d consider reimbursing me for a quick clothing stop so I could change, the manager came back to say they’d comped our $86 meal and that was all they could do. She added that it was “just water” and mentioned the T-shirt I neither wanted nor kept. The tone really caught me off guard.

The food here is excellent, and some of the staff were genuinely great. But hospitality isn’t just about good food, it’s about how you handle things when they go wrong. I didn’t expect perfection, just a little empathy and care. And that part was missing.
