We had an amazing experience at The Butterbean in Ethridge, Tennessee! The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned beautifully. The burger was great, and the wings were to die for. The wings sauce was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had. We also tried the caramel apple pie, and it was delicious.
We’ve come by a couple of times before but didn’t realize they were closed for remodeling. We also learned they’re closed from May to September, so definitely check their Facebook page before visiting.
They didn’t have banana pudding today, but that just gives us a reason to come back because we will definitely be returning!
Service was exceptional and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend this place!

We went an was not disappointed. The Hamburger Steak my husband and sister n law got was perfectly cooked an they said it was awesome. I got Chicken Salad and Sweet Potato Fries an it was awesome . Butter Bean Cafe was a welcome respite on our trip to Lawrenceburg and back. It’s not fancy or anything but thats part of the charm. The food is a casual diner type menu and the prices are low. The service was quick and friendly. The pepperjack cheeseburger was just spicy enough, the classic burger was delicious, and the tots & onion rings were perfectly crispy. The sweet tea reminded my wife of my mom’s tea, a true compliment. We’ll go back the next time we’re in the area.

We waited an hour and a half before we got our food. The owner came out and didn’t even apologize for our weight. The waitress walked out and the music was for 70+. Definitely don’t waste your time. It was $60 for garbage food I would’ve rather ate McDonald’s.

There was no posted health score that I could find, but it would probably be below 70. They would have failed if they had inspected on the day we went due to active infestation of multiple types of bugs. There was a live bug served in the serving of fries, ants were active and crawling on the counters, and there were piles of empty boxes adjacent to the dining area. The walls had duct tape, the light switch was only partially covered, the bathroom door didn’t close. I would recommend NO ONE eat here.
