Oh my word — absolutely amazing food!

My sister and I ordered:
1. Sliders (4 per serving): Animal Double (2), Rage Against the Routine (1), and Red Hot Chili Popper (1).
2. Sweet potato fries (included with the sliders).

Y’all… when I tell you this was the best burger I’ve had in a long time, I mean it! The sliders were massive, so we split them — and trust me, you definitely get your money’s worth. I have to recommend the Red Hot Chili Popper — it sounds like a wild combo, but it works. Even my sister, who’s not big on spice, loved it!

You could tell everything was fresh, the burgers were juicier than the gossip my sister and I shared, the buns were softer than pillows, the fries were crispier than Anakin in Star Wars, and the servers were friendly, attentive, and SUPER helpful.

I highly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone.

Firstly the service was great, very attentive and friendly.
We got the 4 sliders for $20: the animal style: basic burger with caramelized onions(need more) and sauce, the foreigner with pepper jack cheese and guac, red hot chili popper with jalapeño’s, cream cheese and red chili jam, and the Fleetwood Mac with chips and mac n cheese. Fries as a side and beignets for dessert.
Burgers were good, glad they use local beef! Wish there was more guac on the foreigner burger. Fleetwood Mac would be better with a slice of cheese or sauce or just less dry Mac n Cheese. Tbf we were their first customers of the day at 5pm. Sear on burgers and seasoning was good. Toasted buns.
Ranked: 1. Animal 2. Red hot chili popper 3. Foreigner 4. Fleetwood Mac
Fries were a disappointment. WHY steak fries!? They’re the 2nd worst kind compared to crinkle cut. Go shoestring or curly and you got a winner. Seasoning and sauce was good. Very glad they use beef tallow to fry.
Beignets were good but the caramel and chocolate sauce was a lot. Available with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar.
Lots of bottle beer options, decently priced. From interesting craft and foreign beers to classic domestics.
Room for improvement as always but need to change the fry style.

One of the best burgers I have had in Abingdon. I got the Blink 18Shroom, with homemade Sweet Potato fries and loved it. It was a thicker smash burger because they use a good amount of meat! I watched them smash them with my own eyes. The special sauce reminds me of In-In-Out Burger special sauce from the West Coast. The service and everything was excellent. You get what you pay for. I don’t get the comments at all, they’re misrepresenting the place unfairly. Just a bunch of nitpicks who are cheap bitter people who want to bring down brand new businesses in the area, because it seems like that’s what a lot of people like do in this town. It’s upsetting to see that.

Five stars for this place I really like the burgers here, the sweet potato fries are fantastic. I’ve eaten here a few times now ordering a different Burger each time and I just think each time it’s a hit. Really great place to eat and after we can walk around the shopping plaza or go to a different restaurant and have a drink it’s connected to like 3 or 4 other places in the building. And I got to mention a great beer selection.

We stopped here for lunch and got smash burgers with onion rings. The burgers were absolutely fantastic. In fact it’s one of the best burgers I have had in a while. We’ll always stop here for lunch while in Abingdon moving forward. The service was great also. I definitely recommend ordering a double. I would have been disappointed if I ordered a single because since it’s a smash burger, the patties were thin. Make it a double so you have plenty to eat. It was great!

My husband and I had a FANTASTIC meal/experience here! Nicholas was a very kind and attentive server. The sliders were a great way for us to try different flavor combos and they were all delicious! Both of us loved the red hot chili popper. We also got the foreigner, rage against the routine, and fleetwood mac. Pro tip – if you get the fleetwood, dip it into the orange sauce that comes with the sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were so tasty and actually cooked!!! Not floppy!!! Big win for me. The beignets were a great way to finish off our meal. There was a minor mixup with one part of our order and they were very attentive and got it all fixed, no problem! Someone was setting up for live music as we were leaving and the commons is super neat. Great vibes! Overall it was a wonderful experience and meal, we will definitely be returning when we’re back in Abingdon! Thanks to Nicholas and cooks, and well wishes to all with the new spot!!! 1000/10!!!

Went to The Butcher’s Grind for dinner. Trunk or treat was downtown. The restaurant was not staffed well. The whole area was PACKED. We were sat right away. I ordered right away (we looked at the menu before going.) I ordered the Red Hot Chili Popper Burger. Husband had the Blink18Shroom. Both were a PHENOMENAL!!! These are not Chick Fil A waffle fries. The fry sauce, jalapeño jam and garlic aioli are all made in house and the beef is locally sourced. Our drinks never got refilled in the hour we were there. Service was extremely slow due to the crowds. We wouldn’t have minded but we were pressed for time. The server noticed (finally) and brought our wait time to the owner’s attention and he came and spoke to us. Very nice. Apologetic and our food was delivered right then. No compensation, but that’s fine. Good portions!! Several restaurants under one roof. This could easily become a favorite. I’d love to come back and try it when there isn’t something big going on.

First time eating here. We chose the original burger single with waffle fries. It wasn’t a big burger but tasted great. The meat was the best part it was 100% Angus and you could tell by the taste. The waffle fries were awesome. Our waiter did an awesome job. Total spent all in $11.32
We haven’t decided if this is a repeat.

We had an incredible experience at The Butcher’s Grind in Abingdon. Our server, Isaiah, was absolutely amazing — attentive, friendly, and genuinely made the meal feel special. The food was insanely good, and the burger was hands down the best we’ve had in years. The beer selection is also top-tier, far better than most places in the area.

Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back!

They have cut back service and food quality since they changed ownership recently. Our burgers were very salty and my wife couldn’t even eat hers. The Manager apologized and told us next time to order them with light seasoning. I find this solution to be less than adequate given they don’t even say that they use “seasoning” on their burgers. We will probably not be dining here in the future.
