I went here for the good reviews. It’s a really cute shop with nice decor. Comfortable seating and an orange couch with coffee table.
The staff was nice and friendly.
The empanadas were good. Warm. Lots of flavors.
They are baked rather than fried. I prefer my empanadas fried. But probably lots of people want baked. It’s not a regular thing I order or eat, so fried is more authentic, I think.
The bathroom was really clean.
It’s worth checking out for a quick, casual lunch when in Sugarhouse.

They were hot made to order. Wait time around 5 minutes. Empanadas are baked not fried. A meal is 2 empanadas with your choice of soup or salad ( no rice option or plantains)These weren’t authentic empanadas. The filling was pretty stuffed. $5 a piece not too bad. Fry sauce comes with your order. Cozy inside with an outdoor patio and seating. Buffalo chicken better than the chipotle chicken.

We finally found somewhere that makes fresh empanadas!! This is our new favorite place to eat. I think we have tried almost all the different flavors after only going twice. My personal favorite is the pulled pork. The owners are also super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back many times!

Ten stars!!! Crispy and flaky, not greasy, with a generous amount of filling. All varieties were great, but I’d like to call out the ground beef empanada as extraordinary. The beef was soft, juicy, and the seasoning was out of this world. Don’t underestimate it!

Delicious, freshly made Empanadas. Excellent selection of meat and vegetarian varieties. It’s great that each empanada is labeled so it’s easy to choose when you’ve got a variety for big events. The prices are good for freshly made, local, quality food.

Empanada Co. just opened in Sugarhouse and I’m already hooked. Super authentic Argentine empanadas, all made fresh and packed with flavor. The classics are exactly what you want, and then they throw in these creative rotating flavors that keep it fun.
The staff couldn’t be friendlier, family owned and operated, they’re down to answer any question and you can tell they actually care about making sure you leave happy.
And the bolas… game changer. The banana dulce de leche one is unreal. Sweet, warm, rich, hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. Ditch the disgusting sugar fix from Crumbl and get over here ASAP.
Definitely feels like a new go-to spot for me. Easy to swing by for a quick bite or grab a box for friends. Really glad they’re here.

The owners are really cool people! Been here a couple of times and they are always really welcoming and friendly. The food is DELICIOUS. Their Margherita Baked Empanada is to die for!!! ❤️ The ambience is also really cool and beautifully decorated. They even have a Friend’s Corner with the Orange Couch and a couple of friends references. The 90s games was a plus!
