We had made a reservation so we didn’t have to wait for a table, which was nice. We were a party of 5 so they sat us in a room off the main dining area, which was empty but we enjoyed it being quieter than the main dining room. The food was delicious! Specifically, the lobster risotto and fish & chips were amazing. And our server was excellent, very attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant!

My friends and I made a reservation for the Tinsel bar on a Saturday at 4p. Online it says they have happy hour and we went hoping for that. When we were sat the server didn’t mention anything about happy hour nor was there anything indicating they had that. My husband asked if there were any drink or food specials and the server said no just the holiday drinks on the printed menu. We didn’t push it because we assumed either a) they didn’t have it on weekends or b) they didn’t honor during the holidays. After leaving we found out they do in fact have happy hour every day 4-5p. I reached out to them and someone apologized and offered us to come back and we could get an appetizer or round of drinks or them. If I knew my server blatantly lied to a table I would refund a portion. This was a special trip and turned into an extremely expensive one so we will not be returning nor would I recommend a place that is deceptive like this. I’m not sure what the happy hour is since the person who emailed me wouldn’t answer what exactly
It includes. Regardless, it was highly disappointing. I gave one star for decorations.

We frequent the KRC restaurants and this was the last one that we hadn’t tried. To review this place is tricky because you want to be fair & understanding, but you sometimes have to be honest to call out the unacceptable. I’ll start there. The service was comical and non-existent. It made for a painful Fall dining experience. We left stunned, because the place had so much going for it. Adorable New England decor, with a very welcoming entry. Cozy fireplace, rustic warm and comfortable bar with many nice upscale touches. We were thinking that we were in for a good night. It proved that just a few key factors can ruin an experience and leave customers with a bad taste in their mouth. That said the food was very good. It’s a small place so it had a small menu. We liked every bite. The fish tacos were a tad dry which could have been fixed with an aioli or sauce. Not a big deal. Everything was clean around us and the plates were attractive. Their restaurant opens from 4 to 8, with 4 to 6 being happy hour w specials. There was never more than 6 people eating and 10 people in the place. The primary bartender was absentee 90% of the time, with 2 couples and a high top of 3 receiving no service or being greeted. People were asking us if someone was working. That made the lack of attentiveness a bigger deal. It would make sense to train the right people with a customer focused approach. If you need to scale things back to put emphasis on customer service, maybe redirect guests & off the street customers to your other restaurants. (Again the kitchen did a solid job) One staffing change could have made this experience incredible and enjoyable for us. It didn’t make sense to us because it was not busy. A swing and a miss for us. Oh well.

We had a good time here! I’m posting very late – we went in shortly after the new year. I got a butternut squash soup, my mom got a prosciutto flatbread, my fiancé got a roasted chicken, and my dad got the American Smash Burger. Everything was delicious.

The bartender working last night treated us with open disrespect from the moment we walked in. He spoke down to my wife and cousin, rushed us to order immediately, and made it clear we were not welcome. We were told we couldn’t stand where we were, then abruptly instructed to order a drink and move to another room, all with an attitude that felt intentionally hostile.

This wasn’t a misunderstanding — it was deliberate and dismissive behavior toward paying guests. For an establishment that presents itself as upscale, this level of treatment is unacceptable. The try-hard outfit and forced “I’m funny” persona only highlighted how unserious and uncomfortable the interaction was.

Hospitality was completely absent.

Sat outside for a few cocktails July 4 afternoon! The bartender was absolutely lovely. Made us feel so welcome. We had just eaten but the menu looked delicious! Would definitely return for food and more drinks!

Beautiful and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step onto the property. We had several great items of the winter menu and each one was to die for! The food and staff are phenomenal and I can’t wait to get back!

My wife and I used a KBK Resort Collection gift card to check out this local spot. I have to say, we weren’t exactly impressed. First, you have to enter the restaurant through the hotel and that was just a lucky guess on our part as we didn’t see any viable signs or directions for the Burleigh. After a few minutes of awkward loitering inside the entrance we were finally greeted by a hostess. It was a warm fall evening so we expected that outdoor seating would be possible but it wasn’t. We were seated at a tiny table about 2 feet from a table of 4 people already eating. We kind of felt like we were sitting at their kiddy table. I assume there are other rooms of dining because we saw others coming and going but all we could see from where we were seated was the bar area…which appeared busier. We asked the gentleman who seated us if he was also our waiter and he says “oh, yes….in fact I’m everyone’s waiter tonight”. So short staffing seemed to be an issue on this night. Nice kid but clearly overworked. To sum up, the drinks were pricey but tasty. The steak tips and accompanying items we both ordered were decent but the ambiance was just nonexistent, at least where we were seated. I don’t think I’d go back unless in a pinch.

My husband and I went for an early dinner on a Saturday night. Service was excellent, very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Mu husband had duck poutine as an appetizer and fish and chips. Both were excellent. Fish and chips was especially good, very light batter nicely fried and flavorful. I had clam chowder and a classic wedge salad. Salad was a very good rendition of the classic, nice chunks of blue cheese amd juicy, ripe tomatoes. Clam chowder was fabulous. No sign of the overly thick, ubiquitous chowder that’s a staple in New England. This was light and flavorful with a nice smokiness from the bacon. They added corn which gave a sweetness and big chunks of clams in a beautiful seafood broth. So good!
