Heads up the hot bun will come grilled. Tasty for some but a surprise for others.
Cheese steak and thin cut fries make a great American combo. We found the service quick and very friendly.
The flavors were great and the staff was fun. I only got to try a few fries but they were excellent.
They have a Wylie Coyote as Tracer picture for some reason. +1 star for that.
This double cheeseburger was JUICY, perfectly seasoned, and the condiments? Chef’s kiss The fries were thin, crispy, salted to perfection But that lemonade though! So fresh and natural I got a refill (no shame). The Burger Spot has officially ruined all other burgers for me and I’m totally okay with that!
My brother suggested this place stating that they have amazing burgers.
We walked in and I was instantly impressed with the quaint feel and the wonderful atmosphere.
I ordered my cheeseburger with all the fixings, my wife got only mayonnaise and lettuce. The toppings were in PERFECT proportion to the burger… so much so, that even though I got so much stuff on mine, I lost virtually nothing and made no mess.
The portion size of the fries is VERY generous, so we were able to share a large fry (and still have some leftover). This burger was all that it was hyped up to be. Delicious, juicy, perfect size. It appeared kind of small at first glance, but it was very filling. The fries were cooked to perfection and were seasoned extremely well – hot and fresh!
I opted for the orangeade, per recommendation, and my wife indulged with a vanilla shake.
Both were also every bit as good as promised.
This was an EXCELLENT experience at one of Wake Forest’s greatest gems.
Whether you are a local or just visiting, you absolutely MUST treat yourself to a meal here.
Highly recommend.
Five guys has nothing on this place. This is a must try, and you will definitely be beef… I mean be back.
Also, the owner came out to say hi. She was so sweet and kind. So, please go eat there and keep them busy.
When you walk in this place just has an old timey burger place feel to it, which is awesome. Wakes to the back and ordered a double cheeseburger w/bacon and a large fry. The burger was FANTASTIC it was seasoned well and you could really taste the beef because there was plenty of it! This was probably my favorite local place I’ve found for a Burger. My only issue was the bun. This would have easily been above a 9 with a better bun. The fries were seasoned really well and crispy as fries should be, but they were shoestring fries which are not my favorite. So I would get fries again, but they were still good. I’ll definitely be going back!
Double cheeseburger – 8.9/10
Fries – 6.5/10 (if you like shoestring fries, this could easily be a 8+/10)
Very sweet staff and great food! However, I was perturbed by the screen prompting me to tip first before going to the total page. Usually, this particular payment systems shows you tour total, asks you to pay, the asks for a tip which you can discretely skip when appropriate. In this situation, the screen forces you tip first before taking you to the remainder of your transaction. They should reverse their settings. Or maybe the cashier is pushing it to that screen herself. Very weird.
