Discovered this lakeside restaurant on Google maps after driving almost 2 hours from home to Greensboro Georgia to eat at a different restaurant that had closed down and had failed to update their web page. I am so thankful that restaurant was closed down and I found this place. The restaurant I found is called Burch and Boathouse. The restaurant is a casually decorated building with excellent food, Superior friendly welcoming service reasonable prices and great views from the interior dining room and the exterior seating pretty much great views from any seat in the restaurant. I ordered the smoked chicken wings and the Thai salad which had a base of kale and other greens. I had jalapeno ranch dressing to dip my chicken wings in ,which was delicious The salad had a thin slightly peppery dressing that paired very well with the salad (not too hot). The chicken wings were smoked perfectly had a nice crispy outside with just the right amount of smoke and a juicy slightly pink meat inside probably the best smoked chicken wings I’ve had anywhere. A very nice touch was the owners husband John and his wife Morgan stopping by my table and speaking to me, not just a quick hi how are you, we actually had a nice conversation about the restaurant and another restaurant that they co-own called Table at the Lake which (Is) a more up scale restaurant with great food and nice views of the lake on a different part of the lake. This restaurant was very well worth the almost two hour drive from my home to have lunch

We were so excited for boathouse to open up again. Unfortunately The Burch did not live up to the hype.
We visited day 2, stood in line for approx. 20 minutes with only 1 group of people in front of us. Food was ready quicker than expected which was nice. There is no tap water – $3 bottled water only.
Pros:
The food tasted nice.
Flavorful.
Cons:
Severely overpriced.
Small portions.
Slow ordering.
Counter service.
It is the only restaurant near us, maybe that’s why the prices are where they are but for us, it isn’t worth it. If I’m spending 30-40 per person for food and drinks, I’ll be going to Gabby’s.

Came on a really slow day. Really nice location and views on the lake. Everything was just okay. Smash burger was not the best, tasted like low quality meat. Chips were fire! For the prices, it’s ehhhh. You are paying more cause it’s on the lake.

Don’t eat before going to the brewery. This isn’t any ordinary food truck. The burgers are out of this world amazing. I literally didn’t have to add a thing to mine it was so flavorful. The beer cheese was also perfection. I literally couldn’t get enough of the pretzel bites and fries that had the cheese poured over them. Get the double burger even if you are only single patty hungry. You are welcome.

Chef Casey and chef Shaun create the most delicious food with a different spin…some southern tradition (Chicken Sando) with a touch of upstate New York (Pizza Logs/Garbage Fries) followed by a pop of whatever deliciousness might enter their mind! The Burch is anchored by an incredible Smash Burger topped with caramelized onions, house made pickles and American cheese! My family and I are visiting from Tampa and rented a pontoon and decided to stop at The Burch for some food and drinks. The team here is beyond friendly and accommodating. We learned they started as a food truck and they opened up this location recently. And everything is just incredible. We got the smash burgers and they were amazing. All homemade and the flavor was insane.
Whether you’re boating or driving in, they deserve your business. The prices are great too. Completely affordable for everything you get. Especially the smash burger.
