Great burgers! My wife and I have been pretty much carnivore for a few months now, and I am always looking for great protein options. The Bull Pen has it on the menu. You can always get a burger without a bun, but they have taken the logical step of creating a menu item with options.
I had the Carnivore with a 2nd 1/2lb patty, bacon, a fried egg, and added grilled onions and jalapeños because I love the flavor of them on burgers.
It was a wonderful meal and experience. Great staff, and both the owner and the chef came by my table to check on my satisfaction.

Went in for lunch. Started with Bull Pen fries and they were really good. Then I had the Duke Burrito, it was enough for 2 and delicious!!!!! I definitely recommend lunch here.

Newer place on the MT. Vernon Square we went at 11am, it was cute, clean, and rustic! Very friendly and accommodating staff. Food was well seasoned and tasty. My sweet potato fries were a little overcooked, but sweet potato fries are very forgiving, and they still tasted good. Definitely recommend breakfast and lunch! The head cook said they are working on a dinner menu to expand to dinner, also.

Ordered fried chicken sandwich with fries and fried jalapeños. Sandwich was inedible due to the chicken sliding out of the breading as soon as I touched it and the honey mustard was like water and would not stop running off sandwich. The fried jalapeños we burnt and hard to eat as well. Only good part of the meal was the fries. They also changed the service to waiting on yourself for drinks. Much different since our last visit. Will not be coming back for a while.

I have made it a weekly thing where I go eat here every Friday to eat their Fish Fry Friday Special!! It is so delicious and filling with your hand cut french fries, hush puppies, and your choice of cold-slaw or beans. Come check them out! Picture is for the Take out I did for my husband. Wonderful place on the square in Mt Vernon. We stopped here after the tour de cypress bike rally and even though it was busy the service was fast and friendly. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience after a long tough bike ride.

This place was amazing. I brought a group of 30 through (25 of them were 8th graders) and they handled us no problem. All staff were kind and food was awesome. Texas sized wings and fries for me and they were perfect. The taco salad bowl looked like an advertisement it was so great. Fried pickles made an awesome appetizer. The coconut tea was so tasty too. 10/10 would recommend.
