Popped in here on a whim for a late lunch. The atmosphere was pleasant and what you would expect for a pub. It was clean and the service was quick and friendly. The food came out at a decent pace and was better than expected. They have a number of interesting menu options that are different than a normal pub and I would definitely be going back to try other items out. The chicken and waffles was delicious and their waffle was made of cornbread. The gruyéred cheese sandwich was far better than I expected with a tomato compote inside the sandwich… and definitely hit the spot. We ordered the tots with green chili as an appetizer and that was a great choice. If you are in the area, I recommend checking them out.

I stopped in to grab a brutal bite and check out the place.
Brutal music on the speakers.
Brutal movies on the big screen.
Brutal food options on the menu.
Brutal “free play” stickers on the Mortal Kombat and NBA games.
Brutal merch on display for sale.
I got the chicken and jalapeno cornbread waffles with saracha syrup. It was a little more cruchy and darker than I had expected but it wasnt awful. The cornbread waffle was a fun surprise.
My friend got a burger and fries. Then added a second order of macaroni and cheese and had hot cheeto dust added to that.
We finished the meal with nitrogen ice cream and a round of video games. The pinball and House of the Dead games cost to play but the Mortal Kombat and NBA are free to play. House of the Dead only had one player operational on our visit and they were out of medium and small sizes on one of their hoodies availabe for sale. They couldnt say when the restock would happen.

A typical dive bar vibe with extremely atypical food and service. Quirky poodle art, friendly, fast and attentive service and some of the best pork green chili and brisket I’ve had! I didn’t mind the metal music but it was so loud, we had to almost shout at each other (sit on the patio if you can).

This place is always above and beyond expectations. Amazing food and heartfelt service. Amazing list of drinks, one of the best bloody Mary’s in the city. The food is also incredible, I always look forward to trying something new, and I have yet to find something that I don’t care for. The service is stellar even when they are packed, the staff really takes pride in this place it is easy to tell. Anything with the brisket that they smoke in house is amazing, I’m a huge fan of the brutal noodle, their take on Pho, made with Smokey brisket, noodles and a rich broth that is to die for. Such a unique and delicious take on a Vietnamese classic, amazing. They also make all of their sauces in house, they make a stellar barbecue sauce. The atmosphere is great, they have clean, inviting, and playful interior. Metal is king at this place, I’m not a huge metal fan but I really like it when it’s associated with great food, good drinks and awesome service, this place might make me a metal fan. Great prices for the quality of food. Lots of diet friendly options, vegan, GF, etc.

Easily my favorite place to hang out at before a show. The food is awesome, the staff is super cool and there’s always killer tunes on the jukebox. Best place for anybody, especially a metal-head to fill up before a mosh.

Came here for a late lunch/quick bite and were so glad we found this gem. Extremely friendly staff, great food (scratch kitchen FTW), sick music, and a dog friendly patio—what more could you ask for!? The pork green chili was phenomenal as were the fried pickles (best I ever had). Definitely coming back here.

Really cool spot! The metal theme is fun, lots of neat decor. Service is always friendly. The smoked chicken wings, and any of the loaded mac and cheeses are to die for!! Reasonable drink prices for Denver.

We are two older women and the restaurant we had planned to meet at want open so we impulsively picked the Poodle. It was a great mix of punk/Goth/political activism. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. (I had the portobello burger, great flavors with the feta). Not sure we’ll go back, felt like we were intruding a bit, – and that was on us, everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Love this place. It’s definitely a heavy metal Headbanger atmosphere. It’s too bad It’s not bigger. It looks like it would be a great place to have a stage and live music. But starting out with a five star review, the food was exceptional. We got the Pork green chili tater tots to start followed by the homemade battered buffalo chicken sandwich. It was exceptionally good and lightly drizzled with buffalo sauce. I probably would’ve asked for a little extra sauce, but was content. The french fries were not shoestring but skinny fries, piping hot with salt and pepper which I really liked. We also got the gluten-free brisket mac & cheese with green chili, which was exceptional. The brisket was better than what we’ve had at some barbecue joints and would highly recommend it.
