We had our elopement celebration dinner at the Broken Oar. Our party of 10 had an amazing time. The staff were very patient, friendly and accommodating. They went well above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to have a great experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The fireplace definitely added to the ambiance. The food was timely and delicious. We were able to stay past closing for pictures, etc. Highly recommended for small intimate gatherings.

We enjoyed dinner at The Broken Oar in Moab. Although there was a line when we arrived, we were seated quickly. Franklin, our server, was friendly and attentive throughout. The atmosphere felt delightful—think rustic mountain cabin meets cozy lodge, with warm wooden décor and a welcoming vibe.

My wife had the honey-glazed salmon: well-cooked and flavorful, though the sauce was a bit heavy. My daughter’s chicken fettuccine Alfredo was creamy and full of flavor; the chicken was tender and not dry. My son’s spareribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and delicious. I tried the Beast Burger, cooked perfectly medium-rare; I enjoyed it, but next time I’ll go for the spareribs! The overall experience—great food, a cozy ambiance, and a standout server—made it a memorable meal.

Our first time here and it was great. Shay guided us to try pickle fries and custom lemonade to start. We also had the best burger! The place was decorated with the theme of the name and we sat by an open fire. Large portions and great service. What’s not to love?

This place rocked! The zero sugar lemonade was homemade & was delicious. Got the steak Alfredo (best I have ever had) and the oar fries, both incredible. Has Vinny serving, he was great, very on top of things. Good place to stop after a day of hiking!

The Broken Oar was fantastic!!! We stopped in on our way through Moab, lured in by the promise of their sweet potato fries, and I honestly can’t imagine a better restaurant experience. The food was amazing – I got the Beast Burger, and could taste the depth of flavour from the different meats. This isn’t your standard American restaurant food, the quality of the ingredients was very much on the level of a “nice” restaurant, rather than what I’d expect for this price point. My burger was done exactly how I asked for as well, and was incredibly juicy with exactly the right amount of toppings. The (non-alcoholic) drinks were absolutely massive, and tasted great. We loved the house salad as well! The only thing that wasn’t quite up to what I was hoping for was the sweet potato fries – they were just a bit too sweet for me, and I would have enjoyed them more without the sugar and glaze. Closer to a dessert item than a side with dinner. However, that’s just my personal taste! They weren’t bad. What kicked the restaurant from great to fantastic was our server – John made us feel at home and was a delight to chat with. Couldn’t have asked for a better waiter, and we hope he’s there next time we’re in town! Broken Oar completely exceeded our expectations.

The food and the servers (Skay and Marie) were excellent. The servers made sure we felt like a familiar dinners location for a slightly high end hotel.
We had shrimp scampi and surf n turf. The meat was cooled excellent and the shrimp scampi was so tasty I wanted to go back to the chef to see how he made it. Worth the price and wait if any. I’ll be eating here everything I’m in Moab.

We dined in on a Friday and it was super busy. Waited 20 minutes to get a table, but they were fast. Food came out fast and great service. Big portion of food. We tried their signature sweet potato fried and it was ok. Other food was delicious.

The Broken Oar Restaurant was recommend by friends back home in Tampa, FL that had visited Moab and also by the hotel desk clerk. We walked over and were immediately seated (5pm dinner) The service was amazing, thank you Aubrey! The food was flavorful, and plentiful. We arrived hungry after hiking all day and left full and satisfied. We had a couple of issues due to my wife being picky(sorry honey) and a misunderstanding with the bill. Aubrey and the management staff and the cooks all did everything they could to make sure we were getting everything as expected and that our experience was amazing! I highly recommend giving this establishment a chance to satisfy your cravings!

This restaurant offers a lovely and cozy ambience with impeccable service, but the food was meh. They said they smoke all their meats in-house, but my brisket sandwich was tough as shoe leather, and they tried to cover it up with half a gallon of barbecue sauce.
