The Briar Patch Restaurant was excellent!! The food was delicious and so very tasty. This was my first time going there, and boy was I in for a treat! I ordered the cheesy chicken (w/ Swiss cheese and diced tomatoes on top), and it was absolutely scrumptious! I also ordered a garden salad (very fresh) and sweet potato fries (As I told my husband, I felt as if I were eating dessert on the side). Both were exquisite! It was a real treat to eat such a delicious, satisfying meal on a Friday evening! We will surely be back again. Kudos to the great cooks there!

It took about 5 minutes for the hostess to notice us and seat us but other than that I was really impressed with this place! I got the Sensational Salmon Salad and it was way better than I expected. The fried green tomatoes were also amazing!!

Decent food and service. Don’t come on a Wednesday unless you want to eat with so much noise that you can’t hear yourself think much less what the person across the table is saying. I genuinely don’t understand why people seem to like amplified live music in a restaurant setting. Seems to be popular, so I guess I’m in the minority here but seeing a band set up while I’m trying to eat makes me want to walk out of the door.

We asked for recommendations on Facebook for places to eat in the Madison Heights/Amhurst area as we wanted to try something new and different! We live in Lynchburg and wanted to venture out a little bit. By far the majority of the responses said Briar Patch! We decided to head over early Saturday evening to beat the crowds and there were plenty of tables still available at 4:45pm. It had almost filled completely when we left at 5:45pm.

Had a great time at my neice Maddie’s birthday dinner. There were about 26 people. The waitresses handled things beautifully. The seafood I had was awesome! The atmosphere was good, the bar had a live singer with a guitar. The restaurant was clean and inviting. We’ll be back for more.

This is a fantastic all American, affordable, delicious family restaurant. Nothing fancy, but a good solid tasty meal at an affordable price. Our server was impeccable. Top 10 country green beans and CRISPY fries! Clean, modern, bright bathrooms. Worth the short treck off 29.

This is an absolute gem ! I live in Lynchburg and travel to mill creek lake for a swim have passed several times. There is a super cute patio with flower pots and shaded tables in case you like outdoor seating. The food is delicious my friend had the filet mignon and I had the chesapeake crabcakes. I lived in Baltimore and these rivaled the ones there! Nice atmosphere friendly staff PS I’m not a fan of steak but I tasted the filet. Amazing melt in your mouth tenderness.worth the drive

What a delightful find! Making our way up to PA and stopped here for lunch. The server Cari Ann was so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. I had the French onion soup and the chicken sandwich. Both absolutely hit the spot. Keeping this place in mind for the next time I travel through town.
