Was told a 30 min wait but had to wait an hour and 45 minutes. Ordered and the food was terrible and lack luster. This place use to be good, but has gone down hill drastically. I get you have 19 tables on a tuesday with only 9 servers but that doesn’t mean you can cut corners on preparing the food. Our nachos instead of ground beef had ripped up returned cheese burger on it, ice cold, cheese not melted and no seasoning. Onion rings same thing. Spent 50 bucks on appetizers and was not even worth 10. Will not be returning. If you want good food and service at Scioto downs go to the cafe.

If you have a large group, I would not recommend this place.

We were here in July with about 20 people for a softball tourney, we stayed at the hotel next door so this was an easy dinner option with capacity for a larger group. We certainly couldn’t have been the only large group to visit here. I will preface this by saying that we were EXTREMELY patient with our server the entire time and tried to help her as best we could.

We sat in the outdoor patio. It was HOT. Not a single person at the restaurant had a clue as to how to turn the overhead fans on. It would have helped to move around the heavy stagnant air on a 90+ degree day for your guests and your server. Okay, fine, moving on.

We had a young lady as a server, and she was pretty great considering our size! While she was great, she could only do so much with such a large group. It would have been beneficial had someone helped her out- at least bringing our initial drinks and main courses. We asked for lemons for our water at least 6 times and were finally brought to us about 45 minutes later after we were about to go to the bar and ask for them ourselves.

At one point someone else brought out some of our food that we had been waiting on for long enough, and he just sat it on a table behind us and didn’t give our server or us a heads up. It sat there until one of asked her if we could grab our food that she didn’t even realize was there. It would have been MUCH better had he just HELPED pass out the food, instead of leaving it to sit, just getting cold.

The atmosphere was cool, the food was good if you got it while it was hot and it wasn’t left sitting unattended for lord knows how long.

We dropped a substantial amount of money on this visit (alcoholic beverages included)- while we went and searched for to go containers from inside to help our server out, and to help get us out of there quicker. It took over an hour to get our checks correct, two of us moms finally went in with our server and laid it all out.

We stood with her for half an hour in the hustle and bustle, while multiple other employees (I’m assuming a manager or two) and not one person came over to see if everything was okay, to ask what was taking so long, or why two guests were helping to sort bills.

We didn’t get compensated for the work that WE as guests did: from our cold food that we served to ourselves, our half an hour of helping the server straighten out the bills, or going in search of lemons and to go containers that we had waited too long for.

2 star service reflects our entire experience- our server would have been given 4 stars had she had some help.

Not once did a manager stop and ask how everything was, not once did a manager step up to help this server out.

That’s mind numbing to me.

All in all this experience took at least 3.5 hours with a solid hour of that time being taken up by trying to sort the bills out. As a restaurant- you need to have a better system for handling larger parties. Unless you just opened- but even then, you need to have a game plan. You’re located directly next to a casino- we know that people and large parties are rolling through your establishment. We certainly couldn’t have been the first large group.

Just because you are conveniently located next to a hotel/casino and are guaranteed business doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t still strive to offer phenomenal service.

Do better.

The meatloaf is really good but the green beans were cold. They would have been great if they were warm.

We came to this restaurant on Sunday specifically to watch the Super Bowl, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
While dining, we were never informed of the Super Bowl specials by our server. We only discovered them halfway through our meal when we noticed a small black menu sitting on our table. Appetizers took approximately 45 minutes to arrive, and when they did, they were cold. Our entrées were also served cold.
We truly came for the Super Bowl experience—we decorated our table, wore team apparel, and were excited for the atmosphere. However, the TVs did not have the volume on. When we asked about it, we were told the restaurant had no control because the sound plays through the casino speakers. If that was the case, closed captions should have at least been turned on, but they weren’t.
Between the cold food, long wait times, lack of communication, and the inability to actually enjoy the Super Bowl, the entire experience fell flat. After finishing our meal, we left shortly after halftime because the vibe and excitement of watching the game was completely gone. Overall, it was a very frustrating and disappointing visit.

First time here! It was crowded because it was Christmas! It was busy but I don’t think they had enough servers. Of course it was a holiday so they get a pass. It is connected to the casino if you want to gamble. They have a bar to order drinks. It was decorated for the holiday! They had this huge Christmas tree but people were sitting in front of it. My family like the food. I am picky it was ok to me. First time for everything! ‍

All the light fixtures were covered in dust and particles were floating down in my face from 30 ft above. The chicken boneless wings were nothing more than chicken nuggets or poppers from Sam’s Club with no visible sauce on them after I ordered Carolina Gold sauce. The meatloaf was tasteless and arrived covered in ketchup with no onion straws as described on menu. Smashed potatoes had no gravy, salt or butter. Green beans were tasteless and mushy. Didn’t bother even eating half my meal. My first and last time eating there. I never write reviews, but this was so bad. My husband said this is the first time I’ve ever heard you complain about food in a restaurant. Don’t bother if you want a half decent meal. I would have gladly eaten at Cracker Barrel over this

I didn’t expect these burgers to be so good – wow- excellent suggestions by Rachel O.

Our waitress was super great and so friendly. The wide open restaurant has a small stage a nice long bar and open kitchen concept with plenty o seating. Unlike the dim casino, the dining area was well lit and lively.

The American had a nice price point and I was served more than enough onion rings, had enough to take some home along with half a burger.

My son grabbed the pretzel bites and I can say they were better than most we get out!

The iced tea was freshly brewed and it tasted fresh. They served coke products.

It was nice to not have to pay extra when I asked for mayonnaise.

The burger meat was seasoned perfectly and served rare and well done to perfection on both burgers. Okay he bun was buttered and grilled, yet still soft on top and throughout. The fries were standard.

I would consider stopping here over some other places close by as they had competitive pricing with delicious tastes.

It’s a pretty much a consistently solid experience, the menu is simple but is always good and well prepared. Not as big a selection of beers for a brewery restaurant but what they have is always well-crafted and enjoyable. They’ve got some great servers on top of the game and if you come on the weekends make sure you get here early cuz all of the gamblers are cashing in their comps.

I can’t give any stars since we were never seated. We made a reservation for 7 people on Friday, Jan 23 at 6pm. Yes, it was packed, but nothing was said beforehand about possibly not honoring our reservation. We were given several excuses. One was that “7star members” had shown up and were given our table, since they are given priority over everyone. Then, the manager told us that a very large party, with a reservation, had shown up with 6 extra people and he accommodated them. Our wait would have been anywhere from 30 minutes on and there was nothing they could do about it. Don’t bother with reservations, they mean nothing at this place. Our party was for our parent’s 67th wedding anniversary. They really looked forward to spending it there. We ended up at the Cafe and made it a wonderful evening in spite of Brew Brothers lack of honoring their reservations.

I tried their Fish &Chips, which is a bit outside of my normal order. I’m so glad I did. The fries were great, as was the fish. The batter on the fish was super crispy. My only criticism is that I was given cole slaw in a 1-2 oz. condiment cup, while my friend, who also got a side of cole slaw, received what I would call a normal side portion of slaw – shouldn’t a side be the same size for every diner? I will definitely order this again if I get the chance.
