My Life- DIY
Ok, so first, parking is an issue, and as the town grows, it will become more so. Circled a few times and got lucky. There was a 15 min wait, but nothing uncommon. Bathrooms are super clean, but on the outside of the main restaurant, in the in-between area, it is very odd to me. The staff is super friendly & refilled coffee several times…. but that’s about it. If you are Gluten-free, don’t go. There are plenty of other local ones with more than 2 choices. The food wait time is long compared to most. I noticed there are noise canceling pads hanging everywhere hanging from the ceiling, but it is very loud in there still. The food was just OK, but that’s it. The coffee wasn’t anything special. The gravy is just OK, according to the biscuit and gravy connoisseur I was with. It’s definitely not for me when there are other places now more and more. The staff is wonderful, though. If only the food matched it.

I ordered a simple mushroom/spinach omelette with hash browns. It was the most delicious breakfast I ever tasted! As I was savoring it the thought came to my mind that it was so delicious it should be illegal or something! Just like people break the speed limit while driving, The Breakfast Place breaks the deliciousness limit! It also has a great small-town atmosphere and is often quite full as it’s the “go-to” place for many of Lawton’s fine residents, and I rarely see anyone go there alone! Everywhere you look you see families, friends or groups sitting together. Lawton is a wonderful little town and The Breakfast Place is a great reflection of that! I’ve probably eaten there 5 times in the last couple of years and they have always been top notch in quality, service, and their price is fair for what you get. I highly recommend.

This was my first time trying the breakfast place. I’ve heard a lot of good things, but I don’t get to Lawton often. We went after a Saturday morning basketball game, and it was packed, we had 7 people, and they got us in pretty quick. My daughter and I had the hot chocolate, which was amazing!! Most of the kids had pancakes and loved them. I had an omelet and it was very good. The staff was extremely friendly and got our food out quickly, and got us on the road in less than an hour. Highly recommend this spot

The food was great – really no complaint. It was honestly tasty. Reasons for the lower rating is due to poor service by our waitress. We were a group of 7 so I understand that our food could take a minute but it took almost an hour until we got our orders. The worst part, our waitress never came back to our table the whole entire time to give us any updates. Not once she asked if we wanted a refill of our water or coffee. Another server asked us instead so that was nice. She made numerous back handed comments and made us feel unwanted like “that’s why I asked you the first place” or ” since all of you want your receipts printed, I have to go get it now” in a very loathing tone. I really don’t want to make this a discriminatory post but as the only group of people of color at that time, it was evident that she treated her other tables different from ours. She probably had a bad day but we were treated completely different from everyone.

Everyone is so friendly and happy, and I love the decor. The food was amazing! Kelsey was a great server, right on time with coffee!! There is a lot of construction going on, just go behind to access the businesses! Lots of parking.
