Buy one get one free Sushi. I got smoked salmon and tempura crab spider roll.
Wonderful, magnificent did I mention delicious.
Staff was very friendly. The chef was very personable. Meeting him was like meeting an old friend for the first time.
I highly recommend it. I live in Raleigh but it’s worth the drive. Good sushi is hard to find
They seem to have buy one get one free on sushi everyday(?). So I had two basic rolls, tempura shrimp and spicy tuna. Both tasted fresh and made to order. They had many many other rolls, both basic and specialty, including pictures, to choose from.
In addition to sushi I had thai drunken noodles, with extra basil, because thai basil is the best, yes better than cilantro.
Wait staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Service was quick and food was hot and tasty. I would recommend Luli’s to anyone wanting sushi or other asian food.
The dumplings were absolutely delicious….
My husband and I couldn’t decide what to get. So we ordered a bowl of Pho- the serving size is enough for two-
And we got two rolls of sushi!
It was amazing— most definitely recommend =D
Our experience was great!
I had the Summer Rolls, which were ok but not exceptional. (No Thai basil nor shiso is used. Mostly lettuce, but decent sized shrimp!.) Despite the rolls being rather bland, the sauce for the Spring Rolls was delicious!!
I tried a side of their ginger dressing (normally served with salad)- it was lackluster, thin and watery in flavor- disappointing.
They had a buy 1/ get 1 free special on sushi rolls going, so I ordered the Catamount Roll minus the eel sauce. It was very good, creamy, easy to bite through and very tender. The spicy mayo sauce tasted of a tad too much mayo and not enough spicy- and was heavily drizzled. (Though perhaps this was done because I instructed no eel sauce.) and seemed to be 2 rolls worth, the serving was large!
I also ordered the Landsea Roll, minus the eel sauce. It is topped with seared beef! And served with a dark and lovely ponzu sauce! Very different! And very good! The serving size was not as large as the Catamount Roll, but more what I expect for a generous roll serving. I asked for soy sauce from back of the house, as I prefer a stronger soy sauce (not light, low-salt soy offered on the table).
The pickled ginger is good, without pink coloring added.( thank you!)
The wasabi was a little on the mild side- it took a lot to add a little heat to my soy sauce. (Ask for extra!)
All in all, I was pleasantly surprised to find sushi, and this restaurant, in Sanford. I wish I lived closer so I could try some of their other dishes!
