I am extremely impressed by The Breakfast House. I came in here today and ordered the Monte Cristo and an espresso martini.
Im not kidding when I say The Monte Cristo was probably the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever had! And the hash browns that came with it were perfect, the onion was cooked to perfection, with a delicious cheese mix on top.
It was all plated really nicely and looked very appetizing. And at a great price!
The espresso martini was also just really excellent.

The server was very nice. Clean restaurant. Great music. Great prices.

You really need to come here for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The Breakfast house is as good as it gets in the Grand Rapids area. Absolute gem of a restaurant!

I was excited when this restaurant became a breakfast spot. There’s already so many Mexican restaurants within a mile radius, but we definitely needed a breakfast spot in this neighborhood. I’ve eaten here twice now. Both times were excellent. First I tried the Avocado toast and substituted the boiled egg with a fried egg. Best decision ever. Next I brought my wife and we had breakfast. Wife had the Rise and Shine while I had the Big House Breakfast. Make sure you come hungry because the portions are generous. We had a flight of the mimosas. Could have used a little more champagne, but the wife loved them. Prices are solid for what you get. I know there’s been comments about the light staffing, but I think they’ve addressed that. Ask for Dan!

Update Response to management reply:
I didn’t want to say about the quality food, since you can’t keep sugar in a brunch restaurant. Also you don’t have anyone to go to Gordon Foods or any other store to get sugar or a toilet seat. I don’t appreciate your lack of remorse for a pregnant woman nearly falling in your floor. Or you treating me like I was an idiot.

I just had breakfast here about 45 minutes ago and it is by far the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten. My friend and I both ordered coffee and then was told there were was no sugar. How is this even possible? Our server was able to find 7 packets of sugar. My friend ordered the Western omelette, fried potatoes, and wheat toast. I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss omelette, fried potatoes, and Texas toast. Both of our omelettes had no flavor and the onions were hard. The potatoes tasted like they were zapped in the microwave. Our toast was not buttered and didn’t come with any and jelly/jam. The worst part of the whole experience was when I went to use the ladies restroom. Where I almost fell off the toilet seat while wiping, because there were no bolts in the the seat. As a pregnant woman this could have been extremely dangerous. When I told whom I assumed was a manager she told me that is why there is an out of order sign on the door. I informed her that there was no sign on the door, but one on the stall two over. Based off the food alone I would never recommend eating here and would rather eat the big breakfast at McDonald’s instead.

Happy to have a breakfast place near by. But also excited that they are opening for dinner as well.
All staff was attentive. Service was prompt with attention to detail and very accommodating.
Looking forward to many more breakfast meals there and looking forward to trying the dinner menu.

We went here for breakfast today and loved it! The location threw us off a little but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was great. As soon as we walked in everyone greeted us and was so friendly. The food was amazing: We were very impressed.

I want to start off by saying I usually don’t leave bad reviews like these.

Came in hoping to find a new breakfast spot, but left absolutely disappointed. From first impressions we could tell that the server who sat us down was new without experience. We ordered three coffees to start, which he brought with no spoons or stir sticks, and one cream. It happens, we asked for some spoons for the coffee to mix the sugar (which there was no regular sugar at our table, we had to grab more from another table) and cream with the coffee and he only brings 1 . We can understand new servers and would never be mad at them, but they really need to work on their training.

Worst of all though was the food, we ordered an eggs benedict, chicken and waffles, and a strawberry french toast. I regret not taking any photos, but the french toast looked nothing like advertised on their google menu(jam was pale looked overly blended and slimey even, no pecans, or even powdered sugar), and it was painfully clear that they used the cheapest ingredients possible for the food. The benedict was over salty, the english muffin was flat and sad, there were two super thin and salty pieces of ham, and the sauce lacked much flavor. There was no syrup for the chicken and waffles, and overall were very subpar. We didn’t even touch the french toast.

We got up from the table and paid for the full meal. Safe to say we will never come back.

Our first time visiting, but for sure not our last. Our server, Bobbie Jo, was fantastic! Very attentive and friendly! She went above and beyond to make sure our grandson was having a good time and even brought out a damp towel to wipe his face. The food was delicious- we had avocado toast, chorizo hash and the huevos burger. All excellent.
