I live in Tampa, FL and travel frequently for work, which brings me to Albany, GA on a regular basis due to one of our facilities being located there.
Bread House is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve consistently eaten at while traveling across the country. What truly sets them apart is their quality, consistency, and incredible flavor – meal after meal, visit after visit. It’s rare to find a place that delivers at this level every single time.
I genuinely can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. This is one of the most well-earned five-star ratings I’ve ever given. Anytime I bring coworkers to Albany, we make it a point to stop here at least twice before heading back home.
Highly recommend.

I cannot even begin to tell you how delicious the food was! The burgers we had were cooked perfectly and everything on them was fresh and flavorful. Their raspberry vinaigrette one the salad was the best we’ve ever had and the Chef even let us purchase some to take home! The atmosphere here is very relaxing, most of the restaurant features reused or reclaimed materials, every piece is different. Very friendly staff, great service, even during the lunch time rush! 10/10 Will definitely eat here again in future visits.

This was our first time visiting the bread house in Albany, Ga. It did not disappoint. The decor is so cute and rustic. ( Which I love). We got the spinach and artichoke dip, My husband got the Ruben and I got the Texas Grilled cheese. I would definitely recommend visiting the Bread House.

This was my first time visiting The Bread House, but it won’t be my last. Located in the historic district of Albany, GA this country sheek restaurant was quite sizable hosting a 20+ wedding celebration at the table next to us, but wasn’t so large as to not feel like the service was lacking. My favorite bites were the soup of the day, sausage and mushroom, the blue cheese vinaigrette dressing made in house, and the southern fried chicken sandwich. Everything was very enjoyable especially the atmosphere, the portion size, timeliness, food quality, and attention to detail.

i recently visited the Bread House Restaurant at 520 N Jefferson St, in Albany, GA. I had a great lunch of a chicken salad sandwich. I sat at the counter and had very good service. The building that the restaurant is located in had a great decor and from where I sat, I could see the bakery operation which was quite large. Definitely worth a visit. They also have an area of fresh baked goods. I bought a package of chocolate chip cookies, delicious.

One of my new favorite places!! Me and my husband stopped here on the way home from the beach, we were very very happy with our choice to eat here. The atmosphere is amazing, the service is phenomenal, and the food is truthfully perfect. I mean even the sweet tea was just awesome. Our food came out quick and very fresh. I got the burger (the jam was so good) and a salad (such a fresh salad and amazing raspberry vinaigrette). My husband ordered the texas wrap and swears it is the best wrap he has ever eaten. Cheyenne was an awesome waiter. We will definitely be coming back!

Phenomenal! Everything was on point. The staff members were kind and welcoming. The aesthetic of the place is beautiful! The food was exquisite! Even though it was busy, our waitress did a fantastic job. Drinks stayed filled, she checked in on us to make sure we were satisfied with everything or needed anything. Highly recommend!

Found this place while working in Albany. I’m really glad they are here. There just aren’t that many nice places to eat in downtown Albany. The atmosphere and service are great. My server paid the perfect amount of attention, refilling drinks and checking if everything was good. I wanted the house burger and asked if they could put pepper jack cheese as I saw another burger comes with it. Nope. But that’s ok I really like a good pimento cheese burger so I went with that. The toasted bun was great, the fries were great, the burger…. It was missing some seasoning. It just needed something as simple as salt and pepper and it would have been great. I was also a little disappointed with the pimento cheese. They did melt it, which is a big plus. Many places put it on cold and serve it. The problem is, there just wasn’t enough. One or two bites where it was a little thicker, it tasted good. But honestly I couldn’t taste the pimento cheese for most the burger because it was such a thin layer. That being said, I will for sure make this one of my regular stops when I return to Albany.

Oh my goodness, this place is a little pricey but the food is so good & quite obviously crafted from fresh ingredients. And if you like ambiance, it has it in abundance. The caramel latte I had was smooth and full of flavor. I will definitely be back!

This maybe the first time I have given a restaurant 5 starts in every category. I just happened to stop here as I was driving thru Albany. If you are driving thru Albany, GA… Forget that, make a trip to Albany, just to stop here and eat. Yes it is possible I am over selling The Bread House. I will say this. Over the last 10 days I have eaten every meal at restaurants in eight different cities. Four of those cities bride themselves on tourism and providing great food. This was the best place I ate. Stop by and enjoy something special. I personally had the Robert’s Sweet Heat Patty Melt and some truffle fries. I didn’t get to enjoy the live music, bar, or fresh bake goods this trip. I will most likely plan a trip back to Albany The Bread House is at the top of my list.
