The Brazen Head, renowned for its intimate atmosphere, is a favorite among San Francisco natives and visitors alike. Hidden in the heart of Cow Hollow, we’ve been called a local haunt and consider ourselves a talking bar, one where people come to chat with familiar faces and meet new ones. We’re open long hours to accommodate your desire for late-night eats and libations, and we offer an outstanding continental menu. Locals’ favorites include our escargot, french onion soup, and signature certified angus beef N.Y. pepper steak. Though no signs point to our cozy space, The Brazen Head is a place worth finding. We’ve been privileged to serve over three generations of patrons, and we hope to add you to our history of loyals soon.

The food is great quality; The appetizers are fun to try a few amongst couple people, highly reccoment the burrata, meatballs, sliders, and prime rib. The cocktails are strong and tasty, and a great price too.
Highly reccomend for a date night or nice evening out!
I keep forgetting about this place. It’s hidden in plain sight. I’m going to be coming over here more regularly.
Prices are super reasonable! We spent $168 for two people, which included a bottle of wine, two apps, two entrées, and dessert. The standout was the petite filet—cooked perfectly medium rare with great flavor. On the flip side, the meatballs were a bit dry, and the French onion soup lacked depth. The lobster ravioli came in a light sauce, but unfortunately, the lobster tasted overly fishy.
Now the bread pudding? Absolutely amazing. Warm, served with ice cream, and packed with apples and raisins—it totally stole the show.
Overall, I’d 100% go back for the steak and that bread pudding—but probably skip the rest.
