Visited The Brass Tap in Tallahassee’s Midtown yesterday, parking was easy (at the time) and off street in the lot. We were hoping to catch some sun on the patio, but our timing was off. If you’d like to sun with a cold brew definitely go before 4pm, on the weekend, in the winter months. That said, the patio was spacious, clean and comfortable. There were a few dogs enjoying the fresh air too, so they’re dog-friendly!
There was ample seating both inside and out, we did end up inside at the bar for a couple draughts and share-ables. The nachos were a huge portion, well made with salsa and sour cream on the side. The chicken quesadilla was very cheesy and well portioned too. We will certainly be back to try more food and great local beer!

One of the best bars in Tallahassee, we’ve come time and time again for atmosphere and the delicious drinks and select draft beer came a martini for Valentine’s Day pretty busy but had a great time!! Thank you brass!!

Good drinks and atmosphere however food service is fairly Inconsistent. Food orders are often missed due to lack of ingredients and you find out your food isn’t coming after the kitchen has closed with no other dining options.

Great beer but falls short on food. A very limited food menu and the food that we received was barely average. Our server was knowledgeable, courteous and prompt.
Edits after management comment. When you have a limited food menu everything that leaves the kitchen should come out perfect. This should always be the case but it is even more important when offering a handful of items. The kitchen was not busy when we visited mid-afternoon.
When a person orders a burger please ask how done the customer wants it. Do not assume very well done.

Service has gone way downhill in the last year. And the kitchen is inconsistent with their hours, closing earlier and earlier; it’s a wonder why they even bother.

I was pretty disappointed in this place. The bartender did not know how to make a soda bitters, so the server had to come ask my friend who ordered one to explain in detail. The drinks took a very long time to come out as well, I think around half an hour for the margarita flight. I ordered a pretzel which was perfectly fine, but nothing special and certainly not worth $9 in my opinion. The only real pluses were that they gave us a pitcher of water for the table and that there is ample parking.

The place is beautiful, but the service was truly disappointing. My partner and I waited far too long while over seven employees were just standing around talking and laughing with each other. Sadly, no one bothered to help us, so we eventually gave up and left for another place.

Great selection of beers and cocktails. The food is good for bar food. Lots of seating. Some of the chairs are a little uncomfortable though. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich and dip trio were very good.
