I have always liked this bar ever since I first discovered it in 2015. I’m not much of a bar person because of over sensory issues and loud crowds. But when I come to this bar in the early evening or even sometimes late, the atmosphere is pretty chill and you can still hear yourself speak. I like to drink selections that they have but I hope they add more signature cocktails in the future. That is my only suggestion. Otherwise this is a great atmosphere

Cool atmosphere ruined by poor service and choice of movie to share on screens. I only caught five minutes of a movie being shown, but it was enough time to see a man force himself onto a woman twice in whatever choice of film some employee thought was a good choice to show. Not a very good vibe from that, or the employee’s lack of care on my comment mentioning it. Also, the Negroni pictured below is what I was served. I’m not certain an actual bartender made this drink because what is that? Could have been a cool spot but I will not be recommending or revisiting based on that experience. Sharing in hopes you will look into this. It was weird

We had a great time, but we’re with a large group and the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed with 12 food orders at once. Took quite a bit to get our food (over an hour for all of us to get served), and it was just ok. The drinks were very good. The service otherwise was good. It felt like we just overwhelmed them with a large number of items at once.

Went here on a Sunday night. It wasn’t crowded (just like I like).
Tried a couple of cocktails & even got some foods.
I like the ambiance and the vibes. The bartenders were great: they helped me pick a few drinks.

Will definitely come back.

The wife live to pop in here and have a drink. The young lady behind the bar who’s birthday it was was absolutely great!

Went on a Friday evening for just a cpl of drinks. Very friendly and attentive bartender. Really like the option of indoor/outdoor seating. The food was good. The customers were all getting along with each other. Nice that they have parking.

Pulled into a parking lot in Fountain Square to check out a new spot that the parking lot butts up against. Some guy comes out of Brass Ring and asks if he can help me. When I said I was going next door, he tells me I need to leave and park elsewhere. After I made a snarky comment about not being very busy, he told me I should show some common courtesy and only park in places I’m going to deliver to. It was 1pm on a Wednesday. Brass Ring doesn’t even open til 4pm, so I’m really not sure what harm was being done. As far as I’m concerned, it’s impossible to have customer only parking when you don’t even have customers. Wasn’t planning to come here before, and most definitely won’t patronize this place going forward either.

This is the local bar for the cinema nerds and people who love atmosphere. It can get loud and busy at times. But more often it’s quaint and calm and reflective. Writers go here to write. People meet to watch old movies on the tvs at the bar and talk lovingly about film, acting, etc.

Jesse the Bartender is the best. It’s more of a liqour bar than beer. They have beer, just not as big a selection as most places. That being said I’ve had great old fashions and gin&tonics for extremely reasonable prices.

The food is also surprisingly varied for a bar. You can get a Gyro that’s pretty solid for like $9 or something.

Highly recommend this place. Be cool. Keep it cool. Be nerdy. Enjoy the interior. It’s got a charm that just lingers with you.
