Our first visit to The Boundary House exceeded all of our expectations. We had a reservation, so we were seated immediately upon entry. I am a fan of nautical themeing, so the wood interior, nautical lighting, and boats made me very happy. We had studied the menu prior to our visit and knew we were getting a basket of croissants to start and Monte Cristos for our lunch entrée. We live an hour drive away, and since no establishment in our area offers the Monte Cristo, we were more than happy to make the trek to Calabash for a Valentine’s Day lunch. I paired my meal with the Blackberry Martini, the perfect libation for this entrée. Our server Grace L was the best! She made us feel like honored guests. The manager came by to check on us as well, and from what I observed, The Boundary House provides impeccable service. The place is quite relaxed and casual, yet the experience truly is one of fine dinning. I fully understand why this place is so popular. We will definitely be back for dinner and do hope that Grace will be working that evening. She really is a super star.

A last minute evening out with friends turned into a wonderful dining experience. The appetizer fire shrimp were great, potato soup, did not disappoint. Ribeye steak, cooked to perfection… However the server truly made the dining experience a 10/10… Lovee was an absolute treat! Her mannerism, and ability to read the room was spot on. Will absolutely be back soon!…

Impeccable food and service! Rey Mikhail greeted my father & I, ensuring we enjoyed our dinner. Brystol was super sweet and attentive. These two made our experience unforgettable & I’m so glad we chose to come here for our Daddy Daughter dinner! Crab Cakes, Carolina Flounder, & Clam Chowder – DELICIOUS!

My first time eating there. We drove an hour and 15 minutes and it was well worth it. Our server Miguel was very professional and made the dining experience even better. I was referred by friends- one owns a prominent seafood restaurant.

This place is fantastic. This is always one of our stops when we’re in Myrtle Beach. The fried flounder is perfect. It’s a thick piece of fish and not over seasoned at all. The flounder is the main reason we go. However, I have to mention the croissants that come with the salad. If you don’t get a salad, you MUST get a croissant. There’s an appetizer of just croissants. This trip we tried the crab dip appetizer. It’s was very good. It’s heavy though so don’t go crazy or you won’t have room for the rest of your supper. Get the house dressing on your salad. We went on a Wednesday night in October and there was a wait. We had a reservation so we didn’t wait very long. One tip, especially if you go in the summer when the wait can be very long, all the tables around the bar are first come first serve. I usually hang around the bar a few minutes and try to grab one of those to skip the wait. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere this time was because of the music. It was loud. Seems to be a troubling trend in more and more places. This place needs no music playing in the background. As a bonus, after your meal, you can walk across the parking lot to the Christmas store.

We got Boundary House several times a year and we are never disappointed.
Great food selection, yummy croissants, full bar. I had their Pumpkin Pie martini, what a treat!!
We have their salads ( huge), chicken dishes, burgers, sandwiches and seriously never had a bad meal.
Service has always been fast and friendly.
If you are in town visiting I highly recommend having at least one meal here.
If you are new to the area this will become a regular stop.

We had a party of 4 and actually had a reservation for 6:30 PM on November Friday evening. The place was very busy and we did not have to wait to be seated. I had the baked pesto salmon with a side salad and baked sweet potato. We also l had the crab bites appetizer, but I forgot to get a picture of it. I was trying to decide better the shrimp and grits, which I’ve never had from The Boundary House, and the baked pesto salmon, which I have had before from The Boundary House. I decided on the baked pesto salmon because I knew it would be good and I just was not in the mood to take a chance on the shrimp and grits that I had not had from The Boundary House. I will give the shrimp and grits a try soon. Our server was very pleasant and personable and joked around with us. This was a very enjoyable dining experience.

The swordfish was flavorful and had a steak-like texture. The prime rib, on the other hand, was flavorless and disappointing. The ribs could have been better—I wish they came with a homemade barbecue sauce instead of using Sweet Baby Ray’s, and it would have been nice if they were smoked.
The fries were well textured and enjoyable. The appetizers were pretty good, especially the potato skins and the artichoke dip, although the dip was a bit too watery.
I appreciated that they gave us a hot towel for wiping our hands after the ribs. It was a thoughtful touch. Overall, service was good.
