Great hidden gem in Leander! Tucked behind the Night Owl bar in Leander. I went at lunch time so I can’t speak to the atmosphere, but I’m definitely going back for an evening outing. If you love cheese steak you have to try it.

We love their smash burgers! Last night I decided to try a steak n onions. Ordered online. Disappointed there were NO grilled onions, or provolone. Just meat, lettuce and tomatoes. Very bland. Too far to drive back to return it. I checked my order to make sure I didn’t accidentally opt out of those items. In fact I did request and pay for extra grilled onions. I know they can do better because we’ve ordered food from them several times in the past.

Our experience at The Boss Cheesesteak was amazing! The food was reasonably priced for a food truck and tasted delicious from the smash burgers to their house made raspberry lemonade and other flavors! The ambiance and the shade/ water misters was a nice touch especially in this Texas weather. Highly recommend this to my friends and family. The owner was extremely friendly and made our experience one to remember. Will definitely return on a weekly basis.

Visiting from San Antonio. Ordered online, it was ready before I got there so it was quick and made fresh. This was the best cheesesteak I’ve had thus far. The fries were freshly made, hot, well seasoned and definitely taste the difference in them being made in beef tallow versus oil. Their boss sauce I think is the name, so good, like a Smokey aioli. I can’t wait to try their burger and other menu items!

My husband and I just got back from a trip to Philly, and we went to a restaurant that is known to have some of the most authentic Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches in town. They were absolutely delicious. I decided to go for it and order it with the cheese whiz and caramelized onions, which is what they say is an authentic cheesesteak sandwich. I was worried about the cheese whiz just glopping on top of the sandwich, but it melted into the meat so beautifully. The taste was AMAZING. We came home from our trip and were on a quest to find something similar. We live in Round Rock. After a couple of hit and misses, we tried The Boss Cheesesteak in Leander. It tastes EXACTLY like the one we got in Philly! OMG. I am craving another one. They are soooo good. We can’t wait to go back. I won’t even try anything else on their menu. The cheesesteak will always be my go-to!

Best burger joint in the cedar park area the burger patties are juicy and so full of flavor melts in your mouth. The philly cheesesteak was amazing and as busy as they were the food was ready in less than ten minute. I was very impressed.

Outdoor chill environment, cornhole boards, huge TV screen for sports, picnic tables and a taco spot and bar bookend both sides.
Whole family loved the burgers and they have a rewards system. We will definitely be back and will be recommending this place to our friends.

Wow! This place was phenomenal. I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting much with this place being all the way out in Leander. But honestly this is the BEST CHEESESTEAK in the Austin area hands down.
I got the #3 6 inches. And the only thing I wish is that I got a 12 inch. Plenty of cheese, bread has a really yummy crust, and the steak and cheese are perfectly incorporated and mixed together. Definitely give this place a try.

Disappointed, used to come here every now and then, but now you have to order yourself on a screen and takes forever, the cooks don’t even listen to your exclusions and additions (which I paid for!) they didn’t put any cheese on my cheesesteak, and I requested and paid for extra cheese. They don’t speak English anymore. Used to be a great stop…. Never again.

Finally, I found an amazing cheesesteak in my area! They are hard to find in TX. I’ve only ordered cheesesteaks because they are so good! The meat is prepared perfectly with grilled onions, the bread is toasted, and chewy, melted cheese throughout. I personally like hot peppers, which are on point. They have a ton of options to customize to your liking! I will continue to be a regular!
