Very rarely does an experience leave me at a loss for words. The Boro does so consistently.

Lattes are well-balanced and inventive. The pastries are from another planet. The staff, great. And I’m always in and out of the joint within five minutes (after the breakfast rush).

Latest trip found me ordering their cold brew with maple cold foam. What an absolute delight! Overshadowed just slightly by their croissant of the month, which I promised to eat half of — save the rest for later. I failed. It’s a take on a Black Forest cake, and a food item I’ll likely dream of for a fortnight.

The Boro does it proper and I’m so glad it’s within driving distance, but not close enough to be a hazard to my health.

Cheers to a million more years in service to doling out delicacy to local masses!

Every time we have been here, it has exceeded our expectations. All of their seasonal and regular pastries are incredible. The iced salted caramel latte is always awesome and their fall pastries (sweet potato cinnamon roll and maple miso pecan cruffin) are worth every penny. 11/10!!!

I only have great things to say about the pastries here. Chef Jin is extremely talented and anything she makes is 1000% worth going out of your way to try.
The restaurant somewhat recently changed their policy on sitting indoors. It used to be that you could sit at hightops by the fireplace when weather wasn’t great. Now, even if the restaurant is entirely empty, we were told that is not allowed after 9am (before which many items are not available). It is of course their right to set the rules. I just won’t be much of a customer during the winter. The lawn is a very nice place to sit for the rest of the year though.
The baristas are really a toss up. One is very polite and excellent at her job. Another seems to mess up my beverage orders more often than they end up right. Others have been downright rude. I’m much less inclined to order drinks from here anymore given the variation.

Some of the best baked goods I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried many many). Get the pistachio cardamom bun, it’s incredible. They have specials/rotating items and those are always winners also. They had a savory croissant with a type of cheese custard that was unlike anything I’ve tried. So yummy. Will be returning anytime I’m in the area and maybe make extra excuses to go there. The grounds are fun for my kids too!
Service was a bit slow though, so be aware if you’re in a hurry.

The pastries, pizza, and coffee here are always fantastic. The staff is quick and responsive but not particularly friendly. It looks very cool inside but it can be pretty cramped inside when busy. There is lots of space outdoors though and their outdoor seating is great!

I bought a chia pudding, and it was delicious. It’s a small cafe and bakery located next to the Dixboro Project restaurant. They have their own entrance, so customers can buy from the bakery without dining at the restaurant. However, since it’s quite small and there’s no space to enjoy coffee and pastries, it felt more like an extension of the restaurant than an independent store. The food was so good, though, that it made me want to visit the restaurant next time.

Pizza tasted great and location was beautiful, but service was terrible. Came with a group who all ordered at the same time, and a few people’s pizzas came out over an hour and a half later (after having to chase down 3 different people about it). Tried to respectfully talk to a manager and they chose to ignore us hoping we would just leave. Would love to try the indoor restaurant but this left a bad taste in my mouth, especially for the high price

I want to love the boro because the coffee and pizza are very good. But I have never had great service here. I have even ordered a cake from them and they weren’t very kind to us with some miscommunication, even promised a promotional code but never gave it to us, and then every time I order coffee to go to avoid the crowd, the service is never apologetic even when everything arrives late. For a place with the facade of beauty, they sure could improve on the core of the work ethic. It’s too bad because I feel like the intentions are almost there. It’s important the energy of each employee. Hope things get better here
