I was really craving something cheesy so ordered the MacDaddy with Loaded fries and the food was great. Service was fast and efficient and I never felt like I had to make an effort to get the attention of wait staff. The burger was well presented and really tasty. The loaded fries were really nice although the two things that could have improved them would be for the fries to hand cut and a little thicker, but also a sprinkling of bacon or burger bits on the loaded fries would have been great!

The cocktails were simple but nice, well presented, and were prepared relatively quickly.

Absolutely delicious food, the staff were so friendly and helpful as we didn’t have a booking but still able to dine. The atmosphere and interior was stunning providing a nice mood lighting still bright enough to see. The portions are larger than they look so the pricing is really reasonable for the amount you get. Would love to come back again when visiting Edinburgh!

Absolutely incredible burgers, the staff are super friendly and the atmosphere was buzzing. We didn’t reserve a table but they managed to get us a table and even bent a rule as we had a 5 month old. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Absolutely amazing this place! The food was fantastic, with a great choice of standard or slightly out there burgers! The battered Mars bar was out of this world! The atmosphere was great too, nice decor and great music playing! The service was impeccable, our waitress was very friendly and the food came out in a great time too! Definitely a place i would recommend and I would 100% go back next time I’m in Edinburgh! Love it!

On a damp and dreary Wednesday night,my son and I thought we’d try the boozy cow on Frederick street for some burgers, hadn’t had one in a while.
I kicked off with a pickle wood,Woodford bourbon washed down with pickle juice, wasn’t as bad as it sounds.
So,onto the food.i started with a small plates of chicken wings, hot honey sauce, absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, youngest son had popcorn chicken which was also declared a winner.
We both had burgers,I opted for the outlander, served with a slice of haggis and a pot of peppercorn sauce, the burger was hot and tasty enough, sadly this could not be said for the sauce,a side order of cheese and onion fries were limp and soggy,my fault,I should have ordered simple fries with no toppings,it didn’t work, sorry.
Youngest son had a classic cheeseburger with skinny fries, scoffed the lot and gave it a thumbs up.
All washed down with a glass of refreshing cold town local lager.
The place had a good American type of vibe about it,menu had a good selection of items to suit all tastes and it was fairly busy, overall, not the best burger ive had,and definitely not the cheapest, but certainly not the worst either.

It is an amazing place to chill, gratis music, fantastic food and all of this for very good prices.
It took its time to get our food hut definetly worth it, and I love the concept using only Scotish beef, also they had a challenge to eat a 6 patties burguer and yoy can get to the hall of fame and a tshirt. Next time I will do this challenge.

Atmosphere was best thing about this bar/hamburger place. I felt it was better as bar as the food was just ok. Basically smash burgers with more variety than the five guys across the street. Music was pretty good playing rock. Food came out pretty slow when not busy and I think that was on kitchen not server.
