Our very nice server Cassidy recommended me the Chicken Stir Fry. I was very skeptical given this was a Barbeque Joint, but it was actually a really good chicken stir fry! The chicken was tender, cooked perfectly, alongside the medley of vegetables. It came with a sweet potato which was also prepared perfectly with brown sugar and butter on the side. A real treat
Very inexpensive meal, two entrees and a dessert clocking $34 before tip, which is unheard of in 2025.
The cherry cobbler was wonderful a la mode. I need to come back and try more of their other offerings. I hope they break out a blueberry cobbler next time I’m in. Blueberry cobbler is great.
We asked our attentive waiters what she recommended. She said most people order their fall off the bones pork ribs but added that no one in the state mates a better burger. We ordered a burger and a platter of ribs and pulled pork. With the platter, you got two sides and your choice of a dinner roll or corn bread. We selected cornbread. It was just ok. For sides we picked onion rings and baked beans. Both were really good. With the burger, we ordered fries. Fries were just ok.
The cheeseburger was as good as our waiters said it would be. It was perfectly cooked with pink on the center, and a light char on each side. It was fabulous. Before the waiter served us the burger, our waitress informed us that they were out of brioche buns and asked if we were ok with a sesame seed bun. I imagine the brioche bun might have improved the burger, but the burger was so good I didn’t miss the brioche bun.
Our waitress accurately described the ribs and pulled pork too. Both had an excellent smoked flavor. The ribs literally fell off the bones. Delicious. For the sauce, you had a choice of sweet or spicy barbecue. We selected the sweet sauce. The sauce was mildly sweet and very thick. I really liked it.
The inside of the restaurant consists of two separate seating areas. The seats aren’t very comfortable and the tables seem a bit close for my comfort. The walls are covered with photos of celebrities that have visited the establishment and signed a photo, including Rachel Ray.
Sadly, only tea (sweet or unsweetened) and Pepsi products are served.
Parking was a hair concerning given you have to back out of the restaurant onto a two lane road with a nearby hill for cars to whip over while you back out.
Our waitress was busy but very attentive and super friendly.
The food was reasonably priced. The menu, surprisingly, was quite extensive.
Based on the food alone we will definitely visit this restaurant again.
The service was great and the food was very good.
