Decided to stop by for dinner tonight after passing by this place for the last 2 years. The food was so good! We were so pleasantly surprised since we’ve tried several places in Anderson and all have been disappointing. So much so we’ll go to eat almost anywhere but Anderson. Everything we got here was wonderful. Queso and chips, cheese sticks, along with 2 burgers , the Sizzle and the Saloon and onion rings. Everything was outstanding. And everything was so fresh. I especially love the fact that they had a few jalapeno dishes and use fresh jalapenos, not pickled!!
The staff was also extremely friendly and attentive and the place has a very cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Food was okay. Way over priced. Paid $18 for a meat and 3 with a very small chicken fried chicken entree. We ordered a kids meal and they wrote it on our ticket and then scratched it out and charged us for an adult plate.
The servers were nice, however, we had several and one lady kept taking our plates as we were eating. She came to the table about 4 times taking peices and even took silverware off the plate I was eating off of.
Overall, horrible experience. Don’t recommend at all. Attached picture of my $18 meal.

I ordered the chicken fettuccine. Chicken was fine, but the alfredo was bland. Salad was a disappointment. Lettuce with 4 half cucumber slices and a sprinkle of cheese. My wife got the cheese fries and enjoyed them.

I ordered a chicken sandwich burger with green tomatoes and Palmetto cheese. When I bit into it the chicken was raw and I had a red tomato not the fried green tomato. They took it back and made a burger instead didn’t offer discount it nothing. It definitely wasn’t worth $15

So had a great experience and a great meal. With that being said want to make sure to point out one detail my burger was well done instead of medium rare. The burger was still very good and not over done just no light pink. Black angus is an up charge but how much? My receipt was not itemized just base and a tip recommendation. Two burgers with a side was just under $20 before tax had 4 drinks if you count tea refills as separate drinks estimate another $13 before tax yet the base was $40.93 Uncle Sam must rolling in dough. Notice the picture of the bill with the very detailed section of what the customer signing means yet they can’t be bothered with what products or services were performed. I write quotes in my day job so I feel the bill was off and I can’t verify the numbers. If you go here expect a larger bill with your great food. I paid steak prices for a decent burger. Attached is a picture of the very unhelpful receipt. Just thought of two other things to mention. The menu was dingy and some items could not be read easily. There was a gentleman in glasses that I feel worked there that stood at the bar looking intently at me. It was a tad creepy. The server was a very nice girl she seemed timid but took good care of us and I left her a cash tip. Wow I had to add more about the menu it actually says choice of meat and nothing about an up charge so the lawyer that wrote the disclaimer about raw or improperly cooked food above that didn’t catch the up charge for 100% angus beef which is displayed no where. It was verbally introduced. Read a few more reviews about chairs and I saw chairs that had been modified after arms broke off. I also read several reviews about food not being prepared well again not the case with our meals. This review is long but read it all because I feel it is a fair representation of my experience.

I’m from VA and came to SC for work. Got recommended this place and wasn’t disappointed whatsoever! I absolutely loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere! I’ve been craving southern comfort food for a hot minute and this place really satisfied that. I HIGHLY recommend especially if you’re looking for a cozy atmosphere, DELICIOUS food, and great service! If I ever travel near Anderson SC again, I will definitely be coming back to eat here again!❤️

Southern Comfort at its FINEST! I’m from VA and had overwhelming recommendations from the locals and they did not disappoint. Everything was made fresh in house and the service was incredible. I can almost guarantee anything you get from here will be of the highest quality.
