Disgraceful. My husband and I were so shocked at how bad the food was with equally bad service. We ordered the spicy hara tandoori wings. They came out flabby and stone cold as if they’d come out of the fridge not a hot tandoori oven. The chicken vindaloo was over sour and dreadful to taste. The manager was disinterested and showed no desire to rectify things. Our appetiser and entree came out at the same time. Showing how disorganised the kitchen is. Appalling bad experience which we will avoid in future. With the manager’s attitude I see no point in a return visit.

Vibrant atmosphere with friendly service and tasty Bombay flavors! Step into the scene of a Bollywood film while you savor hearty meals full of traditional spices. Would recommend: non veg thali, Dahi vada, and pani puri.

I visited The Bombay Canteen today, right after it opened, and I’m really impressed. The food tastes like real Indian street food but with a modern twist—everything was fresh, full of flavor, and nicely presented. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the menu has lots of variety (chaat, curries, biryani, and more), and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s a great place for anyone who loves authentic Indian food. Wishing them all the best!

Fabulous and authentic meal from Bombay Canteen! We ordered the Salmon Tikka Masala and the Chicken Tikka masala. Both were very flavorful and not overly heavy. My husband made the mistake to say that the chai was better than what I make at home. (I do admit, I agree)
The decor was stunning and the servers were very kind and attentive. I am so glad this place opened up. We definitely see ourselves as regulars here!

I was really hoping to love this place or at least like it, based on the good reviews. However, I found it mediocre. We ordered a few things and did not finish any of it. The Tikka Masala did not have much flavor and the wings looked an artificial lime green color – very unappetizing. Maybe they are new and have to figure a few things out but I will not be going back. I am leaving this review to balance out the expectations of people like myself who were swayed by the 5star reviews but disappointed. Perhaps we went on an off day. The employees were very nice.

We had an incredible dining experience here! We tried the non-veg thali, chicken seekh, shrimp curry, sandwich, and keema pav, and every dish was fresh, authentic, and hit the spot. The portions were generous and truly comforting.
Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. The entire staff was welcoming, I didn’t get a chance to ask for everyone’s names, but a special shoutout to Aashish, who was incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great flavors and top-tier hospitality!

We had dinner at this wonderful, new spot last night, and everything was outstanding.
The vibe was casual and fun, but the experience was more upscale than you might expect.
The servers and host were very welcoming and attentive, explained the various dishes and customs, and made good suggestions. The food was flavorful and the portions were very generous. We thought the prices were a bit below market for this area, as well—truly a great value. We hoped to try the desserts, as they sounded delicious, but will have to make a return trip for that, because we were full and still took plenty of food home. I liked that there were more than the usual selections you see at most area Indian restaurants, which gave us a chance to explore a few new dishes.
This was during their soft opening, so although they said they were still working on details, the only thing we found not fully functioning was the bar, though they did have a selection of canned cocktails that they served in glasses and garnished.
Give them a try—it’s a great little spot. Can’t wait to come back!

Awful. Simply awful.

Cold wings that were slimy and hadn’t seen a tandoori oven.

vindaloo that wasn’t – it was cold, un-spicy and sour. No flavor.

The service was atrocious.

Wine took an age to turn up and had to go and ask for it. The manager was disinterested and lacked any sort of empathy that we had had a bad experience.

When the entree turned up the same time as the appetizers, he offered to ‘keep it warm’ until we’re ready – so that’ll be Luke warm food, dry naan and sticky dried rice.

No thanks.

I’ll give it 6 months – a great example of style over substance.

If you can’t get the food right, and the service isn’t working – this place will fail.

We had the lunch special which we ordered separately but shared the vegetarian and meat dishes. They were excellent. The waiter and manager were both very nice and helpful when ordering.
