Given Beeville’s limited BBQ options, too bad we found The Bomb was a dud.
Small restaurant. Service was adequate if maybe a bit slow given only 2 tables, but friendly anyway.
Brisket was moist but just bland, no seasoning or smoke of note. Sausage may have been Eckrich(?), but basically nondescript. Beans average, begged for salt. Cole slaw missed.
If it matters to you, BBQ pricing not on menu, but burgers etc are listed.
The Bomb was off-target, average at best, so much better available in Texas.

We have been to this place a few times. A small restaurant that use to be a bank? The food is good and consistent with portions worth the money you pay. Service was very friendly and good, just wished they would have come around to refill our tea and water.

Service was good along with the brisket, even though it did have a ton of fat on it. The hot link was okay along with the potato salad but the Mac n cheese was pretty bland. I really wish this place was a bit bigger and maybe just a tad bit cheaper. It would’ve been nice to have a spot to sit down and eat. Maybe even an outdoor area. That could be really nice. Maybe next time I’ll try some different sides and just do double brisket because it was really good! But as of right now I have to say three out of five stars. Hopefully next time things will be a bit better and if that’s the case I’ll be more than happy to give you guys five stars

Nice small hometown BBQ place. In middle of city. Like the cw decorations. Food was delicious. But small portions.

I ordered the big spud that was delicious but I also ordered a brisket sandwich which I ordered with fries and sides. The reasons why I gave 2 stars were: I never received french fries, the potato salad had no flavor. The menu that was handed to order had all the wrong prices so I ended up paying more than I anticipated plus the sides were in an 8oz cup for $3.00 which I think is a lot. I should’ve gone to HEB and save money. No wonder they don’t have business, be honest with prices and food quality.

The best burger and fries I have ever eaten. The patty and bacon were smoked to perfection. Absolutely loved it, the only thing is that none of the employees wore masks. We are in a pandemic and when I see restaurant employees not wearing a mask makes me think they don’t take it as seriously as they should. It also makes me feel like they don’t care about their customers health. Won’t be returning until they start wearing masks. Please don’t be selfish in regards to protecting your customers and yourself.

The food at The Bomb was, in fact, The Bomb! Portions were generous and prices were fair for what you got. The potato salad was a little different, kinda pickle-y, but I love pickles, so that meant extra taste for me. I think the place could use some sprucing up. It seemed a bit dirty… some fresh paint in the bathroom would be great. I think it was more about age of the space more than any health issues. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are dine in, drive-thru and (it seemed) call ahead options. I am looking forward to eating there again.

I can enjoy a good BBQ plate as good as anyone but this place has ways to go. The reheated brisket, the grilled sausage and dried up ribs was nothing to desire, but everyplace deserves a second chance.
Maybe next year.

Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (Large). And 2 Chopped BBQ Sandwiches
drive through said would be 20 min wait said I’ll come inside and wait because their website states Hand Battered. They turned on an extra AC and made me sit by it, probably cuz I looked like I was gonna stroke out from the heat. 15 min later the owner handed me a bag that weighed about 4 lbs. Opened it and it was one of the best juiciest, CFS’s I have ever had, as far as the 2 Chops. That was the next days lunch. Was ready for a nap after them bad boys. Love this place.

We ordered fatty brisket. It was a solid 6 out of 10 on flavor but is the VERY MOST EXPENSIVE brisket I’ve ever encountered at a bbq restaurant. $26/lb. The Mac n cheese was bland and disgusting and the bbq sauce was sitting out on the table in a goopey greasy bottle. The bread served with our meal was stale and semi-crunchy. There is hardly any parking availble too.
