Do not let the name fool you they don’t boil anything here. You will not get a crawfish or crab boil. their menu is also false, I asked for cheese sticks they don’t serve them any longer. As far as the food I haven’t made it that far. I will update my review.

Update: food is not great. I’m sure this restaurant used to be a good place but it’s not anymore.
Fish and shrimp both over cooked coleslaw absolutely horrible.

Fried shrimp was cooked to perfection, fish was overcooked. The German chocolate cake wqs absolutely delicious. Pistolette ( seafood) was tasty

Crawfish was good. Fresh made to order. It was lightly dusted but didn’t need it. Staff was friendly despite showing up late. Place closes at 2pm Definetly a diamond off the beaten path.

I stopped in here for lunch with two of my colleagues. I had the lunch buffet which had catfish nuggets, whole catfish, corn, crawfish etouffee, two different puddings, salad, hush puppies and an incredible butter pecan cake. I think it was $10.95 for the Buffet. They do serve beer here I saw mostly domestics. I will definitely be back. Maybe I’ll go when they’re serving boiled crawfish.

Gotta admit, I wasn’t sure what I was walking into when we pulled into this place….Turns out it was a great eatery for some local crawfish and the fixins! I got the 3 lb. crawfish meal with corn, potato, and some great sausage. I was quite entertained to see they also do deer processing- so much so snapped a pic to post.

I looked at some reviews and decided to make a stop with the family, looking for that Cajun experience and was somewhat disappointed when the food arrived. My plate looked like a kids meal, I ordered the grilled fish with crawfish layed over it in a sauce occupied with a roll and salad. The salad could have fit in the dressing cup that comes with it, the fish was ok just the cheese was overpowering the flavors of the fish and crawfish. My family was for the most part satisfied, my oldest and I were just not impressed.

This place may look like a common Mom & Pop Restaurant with little special or unique for it, but it’s only when you get the food is this place really gets to shine, not only they have excellent seafood/cajun food, not only are they cheap to get, but there are two things that can make it special for me:

1) you can ask if you want your soda or beer in a can (for a crispier taste than the other options, I know I tried), bottled (for to keep it fresh by tightening the cap), or from the fountain (for free refills)
&
2) there’s this one item that is always great to get when they have them, they’re called “Texas Toothpicks” and basically they’re strips of Fried Onions and Jalapeños, and they are FREAKING DELICIOUS, like everytime I get them, even when their cold their good, the flavor, the texture, the crispiness of them all, it’s pure fried perfection, unlike most places that serve fried food where sometimes the food looks and tastes different than what they show on the advertisements (I know, I have sensitive taste buds, and it’s the reason why I always ask the guys & gals behind the counter at Wendy’s to cook my Chicken Nuggets fresh), no matter how much they cook or what temperature they are Texas Toothpicks always look and taste the same (there’s a picture down below to get an idea of them), and only a few select restaurants across the country have them (even Carl’s Jr/Hardees sold them before) and this place is one of them, if your a fan of spicy or fried foods, defiantly get them, and that kind of that Boiling Point serve is what makes this place so great

sure it may look rustic and cheap, but what makes up for it are a friendly family of ladies who’s always welcome to chat and great delicious food that some of them you can’t get anywhere else around here (or all of Louisiana, or maybe even this country besides Texas, I know I looked it up) at really cheap prices,

so… what I’m trying to say is, I suggest you try this place, the food and service is really, really, REALLY good

I am a truck driver and every time I am in Louisiana I stop and try a new Cajun place. This place was by far the worse so far. The shrimp and “crab” gumbo was straight juice. There was no crab and the shrimp were so small I thought they were baby crawfish. Boudin balls were ok, but cold in the middle. Waitress asked how I liked everything and I was honest. She just looked at me like oh well.
