I was driving through Burley, Idaho, and this area has started to become a regular lunch stop for me on trips to Utah and back to Boise. I wanted to start writing reviews of some of the places I find along the way, and The Boathouse was one I tried a couple of months ago. I have been so busy since then that I am only now getting around to writing this review, but it definitely stuck with me as a highlight.
I ordered the ahi tuna tacos and they were delicious. The tacos came with pico de gallo, Sriracha Baja cream, and queso fresco, and the flavors worked great together.
The atmosphere was also a big win. It is riverfront dining with a nice view, the restaurant was clean, and everyone I dealt with was friendly. It felt like a relaxed spot where you could sit back and enjoy the food and the view at the same time.
I would have liked a little more of the Sriracha Baja cream in the tacos and maybe a couple more lime wedges, but that is just personal preference. It did not take away from how good the food was. The whole experience made me want to come back, and next time I definitely want to try something different because everything on the menu looked good.
Rating: 5 out of 5. Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. This one is a must-visit.

Incredible service. Chelsea is a rockstar
The food was incredibly yummy. Chicken was perfectly cooked and the steak was actually “medium rare” just like it was supposed to be!

Two things: First, as a mother I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this changing station in the bathroom. This is a wonderful amenity to offer customers.
Second, as a person of color it’s scary to be out right and it’s hard to know where you will be welcomed and where you won’t.
But this place had such a kind server who made me feel right at home. I wish I could remember her name but I very much appreciated her service and kindness.
Oh and the food was great too!

We stopped on our way to the Gorge and had the best experience, quick service, amazing food, the prime rib was incredible! Our server Celeste was on it from the moment we sat down. I would highly recommend this place, the views on the snake were the icing the the cake!

We stayed at The Boathouse through Harvest Host camping app, and from the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm and enthusiastic hospitality. Gabrielle had the Beets and Goat Cheese Salad, and I had the Shimp Alfredo and it was perfect. Generous portions, amazing flavors, fresh and well prepared ingredients, and wonderful attentive service. Proprieters, Sabrina and Dean visited with us and we felt like they were opening their home to family.

I’ve been here twice for lunch and enjoyed it both times. The food was delicious! My first visit I had the Italian club and onion rings and loved it, the second time I had the regular club and salad and liked it. My aunt had the beef stew with the home made bread and she loved it. The bread was amazing! The view of the river was great! This place has definitely made my list of favorites!

Friendly staff! I’ve eaten here twice now – They have a great menu and the food is consistently hot and well seasoned. The sauce that comes with the sweet potato fries is delicious! Beautiful view and a peaceful lunch.

Service was lacking—our water wasn’t refilled, and our bread took forever to get. The salad lettuce was fresh, which was a plus. However, my burger was supposed to be medium but came out well done. The Pirate Planks were just okay, nothing special. The only reason giving a higher rating is because the price seemed good for the food we got in terms of quantity.

This place is absolutely stunning !! The old rustic cabin feel with all of the beautiful decorations and twinkling lights to make it seem like a boat’s dream ❤️ this place offers some of the best things possible at any restaurant and then some .. let’s name a few ! The place is stunning with plenty of indoor and outdoor patio seating let’s be real .. either way your getting beautiful views of the snake river as it’s located right on the shoreline. They have plenty of parking in the dirt lot and places that can easily fit and RV so bring the family ! The menu is extensive and bountiful with loads of delicious options from finger steaks to salmon from blt’s to soups and salads to amazing desserts like fudge brownie and cheesecake and wait … Yes a full bar !! ( Wednesday half off wine glass and bottles ) Now let me get to the best parts I feel really stepped this place up .. of it wasn’t already outta this world 🙂 I gotta say walking into the women’s restroom I noticed first and foremost the baby changing table that was actually beautiful the bathroom was spotless clean smelled amazing and had so many little things to help i smiled and admired the thought and care this place has put into the comfort of women and children. It was so heartwarming to see the things they were supplying to help make your time at the establishment just a little more comfortable and easy to enjoy the meal you are paying for .. what a place !!! Now let’s not forget the main attraction to this whole shindig …. THE SERVICE !
while I have had great active attentive service at places before this one took the bakery with how thoughtful how well mannered how consistently consideredate it all was Chelsea and Jordan are by far down of the best host and servers I have came across. Bubbly and cute ready to help and give a laugh 🙂 not once did I get the feeling they didn’t want to be there and they were genuinely happy to make the customers experience some of the best the had in their day . Celebrating my sister’s 21st birthday they did a treat and sang to her with a fun little sea shanty birthday and that was so much fun and Chelsea was sweet enough to remind us to take a picture before she cleaned up the setting. This place with everything combined is something wonderful , absolutely a place that needs your visit as you may just fall in love and make it a permanent must stop every chance you get .
