A new, family friendly restaurant. The Boathouse is a casual, live music joint with an Island Country vibe and great food…all on the edge of the Snake River in Burley, Idaho. We’ve created a robust menu that includes some of the old favorites and a lot of new menu options. The Bar and Restaurant will now be non-smoking interiors. Feel free to smoke out on the outside decks. The restaurant will be open Tuesday- Sunday for lunch and dinner. The big bar (which is in a different building) is currently open Thursday-Sunday, with live country music most Friday and Saturday nights from 830-1130pm.

Food was yummy! The chips aren’t really chips though. More like potato slices. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and super yummy, onion rings were crispy and great. Service was good and the patio sitting was beautiful. The brownie was good but not thick enough. A little expensive in my opinion but it was good. The waitresses were all nice and busy busy. The owner is always kind and will do anything to help his staff, from busting tables to carrying food! That’s amazing in itself. Overall a good experience!

It was an average experience hence the average stars. I ordered online and it took over 30 mins for our Chicken strips buoy to be ready. The chicken and fries were good, but for $13, there should have been double what was there. That is the main reason for the rating.

Best burger AND it’s served near the ambiance of the Snake River. The river was calm and the sun was shining so we stopped for a bite. First time at this establishment. I ordered the 1/2 pound burger with American cheese with a side of potato wedges. The burger was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The veggie toppings were crisp, fresh, and flavorful. Served on a deliciously buttered and crispy potato bun. The potato wedges were like a baked potato in every bite. Everyone NEEDS to check this place out if you are passing through Burley and have the time. Excellent!

Update below. Amazing!!! We heard about this place and decided to drive from Idaho Falls to check it out. We are so glad we did. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Our server was just coming to work and offered to take our picture. We had a great window table and could watch the boats out on the Snake River. The food was so delicious. We had the pork nachos which the 4 of us couldn’t finish. They make their tortilla chips. The rest of it went home with us. I had the prime rib French dip. It was the best one I have ever had. One of our friends had the Italian sandwich and said it was the best sandwich. They also brought out some hot bread that was fresh and delicious and homemade. My husband and friend both had the New York steak. It was huge! They said it was delicious. With how delicious everything was, we had to have the cheesecake. Oh my, it was light and delicious. We brought home a lot of leftovers for another meal. It was definitely worth driving the 2 hours to get there and 2 hours back. We will definitely be going back because there are so many other items on the menu that we want to try. If you are looking for a great place to eat and you are up for a drive, go to this place. Update: We went for my birthday and had the most amazing meal. I had the fried coconut shrimp. It was the best I’ve ever had. My husband had the grilled shrimp. He did it was delicious. They gave me a free dessert for my birthday. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often.

We stayed here in our 5th wheel using Harvests Host. The restaurant was closed the day we were there but the Pizza place was open. Had a great pizza dinner. Large gravel lot on the Snake River. Downside was lots of mosquitoes. Despite this we appreciated the overnight Campspot and great dinner.

Near the water was good, noisy like a daycare, food preparation was slow waitress apologized, they need larger fries* maybe the Idaho potato is lacking. A guy came by to ask how everything was pretty said the same as said her. He said there was larger potato wedges available but no fix for the fries. $9 for what you see. I was a traveler passing through and usually come through 3 times a year. Won’t come back.

We loved staying at The Boathouse. Beautiful to park by the river! We had a good lunch. Wedge salad and coconut shrimp and a burger. Very good. Thank you for the stay and great service!

The Boathouse is right on the bank of the Snake River. You can eat outside or inside. We went on a weekday between 4 and 5 p.m. It got busy right after we got there. The food was delicious. My husband had a steak. I had the fish tacos. They were juicy. The staff was nice and friendly. The restraunt has character.
