We recently visited a newly opened Japanese restaurant, and it absolutely did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere stood out — beautifully decorated with a modern yet inviting vibe that set the tone for a great dining experience.
After being seated, our server warmly greeted us and explained the all-you-can-eat options: Japanese BBQ or sushi. Since it was only a $5 per person upcharge to enjoy both, we happily decided to try everything.
Grilling the meats right at our table was such a fun and interactive experience, and the quality of the meats made it well worth it. The sushi selection was equally impressive, offering a wide variety of rolls that were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly fresh and delicious.
Our server was attentive throughout the meal, consistently checking in and taking new orders as soon as we finished each round. The service truly enhanced the overall experience.
Between the flavorful dishes, stunning presentation, and excellent service, this restaurant is absolutely worth a visit. We will definitely be back!

Great option for sushi AYCE in the Largo area. We loved most of our dishes. The salmon tataki and yellow tail jalapeño were delicious. Pepper tuna was underwhelming with a strong fishy taste. Beautiful presentation. You can tell that the chefs take pride in their work. Our server was nice and answered all of my questions. He did forget to bring our miso soup so we had to inquire if it was coming after a while. Aside from that, come hungry!

My daughter & I came to try the newly opened AYCE Japanese restaurant Koyama. We’ve been keeping an eye on the place for a hot minute anticipating it’s opening, so we were excited to see them finally open. They are currently doing a soft opening & do not yet have their liquor license so they aren’t serving any alcoholic drinks at the moment but will be soon, this didn’t bother me at all but is a good FYI if you were planning on drinking with your meal.

We got in & seated pretty quickly, only waited about 10 minutes & the gentleman at the front that greeted & seated us was super friendly. With it being a place that just opened I figured they were a bit understaffed & that was reflected in the service throughout the evening. Our server was friendly but I did have to ask multiple times for some things, like a water for my daughter. Also after we ordered & finished our first round we waited about 5 to 10 minutes before our server showed up again to take our order.

The food though was fresh & delicious, & we loved every bit of it! My daughter went through multiple orders of their shrimp & beef bulgogi, I got their salmon, shrimp, short ribs, & more than a couple order of the flank steak.
I was a little disappointed that the appetizers & the soup/salads were limited to just the Sushi Menu & not part of both menus, & I wasn’t a fan of everyone having to choose the same menu, or everyone choose both menus. My daughter doesn’t like sushi at all but I do love it so I either had to spend extra money on something they weren’t going to eat, or choose the same menu as them (which is what we ended up doing). Hopefully this will change in the future.

Overall it was a pleasant experience & even though it was packed it wasn’t noisy at all, the atmosphere was very mellow & relaxed. We will definitely be coming back again soon after they have fully opened, & I will revise my rating at that point.

Great new place! Convenient location in the Largo Mall with lots of parking. Food is fresh, and everything we tried was delicious. (We did not get the grill option). Hand rolls, sashimi, appetizers, and even desert. Definitely coming back to try the grill.

I enjoyed dinner a lot Koyama a few weeks ago. The only thing they didn’t have going for them then was that they did not have their liquor license. As soon as that gets squared away, this place will be perfect.

Did the all you care to eat sushi and got a variety of apps. The portions are small, but that’s the point. Try everything and get more of what you liked. We tried crudo, tempura, rolls, nigiri, and dessert. No misses here.

Good quality and tasty, freshly prepared food.

Ask for Kelly. She was a fantastic server and on top of her game.

Great place if you have a large appetite for freshly made sushi. One price includes all the sushi rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, and hibachi you can eat. They also have soups, salad and some appetizers on the menu. Great selection of rolls and sashimi for those who like all the fish or just the crab and cooked variety. Even dessert options with a dessert sushi roll! There was also an option to add bbq in the center of the table but we didn’t try that this time.

Clean place with good service. We will be back for sure.

The ambience is absolutely beautiful and very authentic. We love the concept of à la carte, it’s very traditional and it gives you the opportunity to try new things. The katsu is amazing, we also had the hot mama roll and several pieces of sashimi, the gyozas and shumai. Everything is excellent. The service was great. We live right down the road and we will be back!

This new restaurant is truly a treat, offering a very wide selection of sushi, cooked food, and more. The service was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere and decor was relaxing and quiet beautiful. The food presentation was outstanding, with each plate representing a mini work of art. If you’re hungry and want delicious Japanese food, you can’t go wrong here.

If you’re reading this, drop your plans and come here ASAP. I’ll try to explain, it’s all you can eat for like $40/ea. Amazing. Get both menus! Either you cook your own Korean BBQ or you get your own Japanese type prepped food.

– The taste, seasoning and quality of everything. Better than any food we’ve ever had. Not even exaggerating, coming from 2 immagrants.. Lol
– Best sushi we’ve ever had.
– Service, atmosphere, cleanliness: immaculate.
– The diet coke was extra crispy. Unfortunately that’s hard to find nowadays.
– Fried oreos? Do I have to say anything else.

The amount of combinations you can do is just so fun. The experience was memorable. I can’t wait to come back. It was our anniversary and we got in a little fight because our reservation somewhere else didn’t work out.. But I’m glad it didn’t because this place is beyond amazing. For real. Thank you so much to whoever made this place. God bless! Thanks again.

This place is awesome! We checked out the soft opening so not everything we wanted to try was available but that’s didn’t take away from the experience. We chose to order from both BBQ and the sushi menu. We ordered sashimi, several rolls, and various other sushi items like hand rolls, etc. We loved the dinosaur roll (picture included)! We’ve been to my Korean BBQ’s but this places grill pans were awesome. All of the meat comes pre marinated, but we also asked for some additional dipping sauces since we like to experiment with different flavors. On top of the amazing food, the decor and atmosphere were perfect. Everything was nicely decorated and was enjoyable to view. I loved their fish lights above the large group table area.
