No food served.
But the cocktails…. Yessssss!
Tucked off the beaten trail, you will find this majestic establishment, filled to the rim with interesting nautical decor (and maybe a few ghosts of fisherman’s past).
Our bartender was just perfect! Not only did he make the perfect cocktail, but he was engaging and entertaining!
The Boat House Is a must do, absolutely don’t skip it!!!

I checked out this place based on a friend’s recommendation. It is accessible via an alley right off Coryell Street (I mention this in case its location on the map confuses people).

As the name suggests, the theme is nautical and the decor offers an impressive display of related vintage finds. I was lucky to visit on a Wednesday because it’s one of two nights per week during which there is live music (the other being Tuesday). On that particular evening, Joanna Caruso was playing and she was fabulous.

The Boat House is, fundamentally, a cocktail bar. There is a good wine list, but the real draw are the mixed drinks. I decided to order a classic, rather than pick a drink from the special menu. I ordered a margarita with mezcal instead of tequila (aka, mezcalita). Sadly, it didn’t meet the mark.

For starters, the bartender did not ask if I wanted salt on the rim. And the drink was both sweet and very bitter. Indeed, there was too much lime juice concentrate, to the point that the drink was very cloudy. To make matters worse, the bartender charged me an additional $4 because he used mezcal instead of tequila. I checked the special drinks list and the one that had mezcal didn’t cost extra. In fact, it was cheaper, even though it had more ingredients.

Any serious cocktail bar knows that making a mezcalita doesn’t entail extra effort or expense compared to a margarita. It’s one thing for a client to request a drink with a specific brand of liquor and another for the bartender to choose the liquor for the client, without their consent, in order to slap them with a higher bill, which is what this bartender did.

Besides his underhanded behavior and subpar drink, this bartender was not warm nor friendly. The only hospitality to be found in the place was the host’s, but it wasn’t enough for me to stick around for another drink.

Hands down our favorite bar!
We drive an hour just to come here—and it’s always worth it. This place is all about the drinks: no food, no appetizers, just an outstanding cocktail menu crafted to perfection. The decor is stylish and cozy, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. In the winter, the fireplace adds the perfect touch of comfort.

What really sets this bar apart is the staff—super friendly and genuinely thoughtful. They even brought out a bowl of ice water for our dog without us asking. Open year-round and consistently amazing. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy great drinks in a beautiful setting, this is it.

Been here a few times and went there recently on a snowy Saturday. The main building was completely filled up so they opened up the back building saloon for my friends and I and we pretty much had the entire space to ourselves! The atmosphere felt very private and the cocktail selection had no misses. Shout out to our servers but in particular Dylan who was such a great host! He had such a warm personality and treated us with extra care and hospitality.

I visited The Boathouse with some friends and was delighted to find that it is a time capsule that embodies old world charm. Besides being a superb hangout, drinks were excellent. And I cannot leave out Andy, host extraordinaire. A 10/10 and will be back with my gifted sunglasses in hand.

Drinks only! This is our favorite spot for happy hour or to meet friends on a Saturday afternoon before dinner. Cocktails are consistent, decent wine list, and when I’m not drinking, they have zero-proof options. Love the ambiance!

boat house is a hidden gem you absolutely need to find if you are looking for unique ambience, amazing drinks, and even better service. Dillon, Julia, and Hakim make a great team. Like this review if you can find all three parrots.

Small and quaint. We really had a great time. Nice venue to attend while you wait for your table to be ready at the restaurant next door.

My wife found this place and we stumbled in before heading home. It was a bit difficult to find, but that made it even more of a hidden gem. Andy was an awesome host, took us on a full unprompted tour of the entire establishment and even gave us some history on both the building and surrounding area. While they serve drinks only, Andy did mention that they are working out details on food options.

The drinks were reasonably priced for a cocktail bar and made very well. All in all it’s a cool atmosphere and feels like you’re at home. I would recommend to anyone in the area or visiting to check it out and I’ll totally be back!

You can sit outside, weather permitting, but a world of wonder awaits inside; especially upstairs. This is a cocktail bar no food. Best for small parties 2-4 ppl. Date spot for sure. One of the coolest cocktail bar atmospheres we’ve encountered and a complete surprise. Alittle hard to find but call them, they actually answer the phone which was refreshing!
