We had such a great experience at The Boardwalk Italian Ice & Creamery! The nostalgic boardwalk vibe and cozy courtyard make it such a fun spot to relax. Luciano actually won a $10 off coupon at a fair, so we decided to check it out — and we’re so glad we did! The Italian ice and custard were fresh and delicious, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. I also love that it’s pet-friendly, which makes it even better for families. Definitely a local gem we’ll be coming back to!

The ice cream was alright. Their soft serve was decent but I don’t like how they serve their gelati. They put the Italian ice on the bottom instead of mixing it in. Don’t even know if they can do that. Limited seating (outside only). Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. One of my friends took pictures but I can’t even bring myself to look at them to post them here. Hope you don’t have to pee if you ever come here.

Nice selection of ice cream and Italian ice. I’m lactose intolerant so I appreciate the Italian ice choices. Service was good. You can try samples and mix flavors. Nice area in the back to sit and relax while enjoying your cold treat.

A Great selection from 24 small batch made Ice Creams to Italian Ice & Gelato, Cannolis, Malts, Root Beer Floats, Etc
When I arrived a staff of 3 employees were working hard with a long line of customers on a late Sunday Evening. Although busy and tired they didn’t hesitate to welcome everyone walking through the door to a hello and an occasional smile. Prompt, friendly service and offered to answer questions and even samples of flavors. Truly a place that cares about not only the customer but what they serve.
A fun courtyard beach boardwalk themed area is in the back to sit and enjoy your frozen treats.

Yummy yummy in my tummy. I had a small banana pineapple shake. My only regret was not getting the large. Joe Jr was a real great guy. I would like to congratulate Boardwalk on their 10 year anniversary coming up next month! I can see why they’ve been around. Looking forward to trying the waffle ice cream sammie.

Beautiful local gem! So happy I’ve discovered this ice cream place. The shop has a small garden behind with a big tree shade where you can enjoy your ice cream with your family or friends. The young employees who helped us were very nice, polite and helpful too. Definitely come again.

Stopped in today to try this place and I was impressed. I don’t generally eat ice cream, but theirs kept my full attention. The store is pretty small but the outside catches your eye. It has a very beachy look about it. Inside was pretty basic. I think more or less they want to draw people to the outdoor area. There were not too many flavors, maybe about twenty. However they had my personal favorite which I tried (Rocky Road). It was without a doubt one of the best Rocky Roads I have eaten. It was packed with chocolate chunks, nuts, and actual marshmallow pieces which I prefer to the ones where they use a marshmallow flavored whip or icecream mixed in. I will definitely go back. They had some other tempting flavors that caught my eye for next time.

Great time again – Thanks Stephanie and Max! Been coming here for years (visiting from Long Beach NY). The boardwalk theme is cool but the real reason we love it is the ice cream. Great flavors, especially the various Cherry blends. If you’re nice to them, they might give you a scoop the size of your head (see photo below).
Update July 2022:
Another great experience! Special thanks to Donavan. Took the kids again and we all loved it. Donavan and the other guys working there were great – you can see them having fun with us in the pictures. My boy couldn’t decide what he wanted so they suggested a black cherry cone – it was the size of his head and he loved it (so did I).
Tip: Peppermint and Black cherry ice cream.

Exactly what I was looking for after a day at the beach and the park today, with 4 little kids and their grandparents: homemade ice cream with cool flavors like candy cane, texas peanut butter and black raspberry. My nephew had the super man flavor and turned blue. They have a campy outside eating area with a well done beachy boardwalk theme, inspired by Coney Island and Ocean city. Bathroom is clean and nicely decorated too. There were a bunch of people there when the 9 of us showed up but there was no wait and it didn’t feel crowded. The other patrons were friendly and everyone was talking to each other about boardwalks and beaches, which is probably what the owners are hoping for. There’s plenty of parking around back. I recommend the peppermint sunday, a real treat.
