Relaxing, light atmosphere. We had perch and lobster bisque which were both very good. Service was to notch! Food was pricey but we received good sized portions! Definitely works recommend! Beautiful view of the Bay and sunset!

The Boardwalk was amazing! The Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap was stupendous, the chicken tenders were crispy and juicy, and the perch sandwich was super fresh . Washed it all down with a perfect Tito’s lemonade . Our waitress was so kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. Everything was absolutely delectable—must-try in Put-In-Bay!

Set out by boat from LaSalle Ontario, 4 hours later we were attached to a mooring ball in Put-in-Bay Ohio! The mooring balls were part of the Boardwalk. We were charged $10 more than advertised, but the unlimited water taxi to and from our boat was convenient.
We ate dinner at the lower deck restaurant and had the lobster mania meal. We were a little disappointed by the cafeteria style service. Grabbed a table by the water so the atmosphere was great.
We punched a sleepless night on the mooring ball as the wind veered around to the NE at 11:00 pm. That is basically straight in the bay and we rocked around all night. There were plenty of balls available in more sheltered locations from NE wind, so we should have kept a better eye on the wind forecast.
Overall a very enjoyable trip and we will definitely stop here again.

The food here is amazing. We ate on the upper deck, not at the ground floor, quick service stands. The upper deck lobster roll is by far the best I’ve had. The lobster was cooked and seasoned really well. The addition of the lobster bisque on top just helps boost that flavor. The red snapper curry, in my opinion, is truly the stand out the curry sauce was beautifully spiced. The fish was well cooked and seasoned. The white rice underneath was also seasoned quite well. The rice on this dish wasn’t boring like it is most places. The restaurant is beautiful inside, but you can not beat the view of eating on the patio over looking lake erie. The patio is very well shaded, so it’s rather pleasant to sit on. Each table sets right at the edge of the balcony, so every table has a fantastic view. The server we had was super kind and friendly and was very attentive. Parking can be difficult it has a very tiny parking lot and street parking can also be hard to find as well. This is next to the jet express dock, though, so you can walk over from it. If you’re on the island, you have to stop by. Also, there is an elevator available to get to the upper deck if you need assistance and can not take the stairs.

We ate at the Upper Deck, and while prices are not exactly budget-friendly, there’s a reason for that. The views are beautiful, (especially at sunset!) the food was actually delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was absolutely excellent. Our server Abraham was attentive, helpful, and constantly anticipating our needs before we even asked. Service was fast and friendly. The lobster bisque was full of huge chunks of lobster meat including claws. The shrimp and queso app was a highlight for us, and the Harvest salad was also a winner. The New England style lobster roll was delicious. (FYI you can only get a real lobster roll at the Upper Deck restaurant, not on the first floor cafe area.) Overall we had an excellent experience! Because of its perfect location, this restaurant could choose to be lazy and just coast by with mediocre food and service, but they do not–they clearly have chosen to make this place truly special with service and food to match the amazing views and location. Thanks for a memorable anniversary meal!

Abraham, our server, was an absolute rockstar! First time at The Boardwalk – the Upper Deck restaurant and boy, did they nail it! The Mango Crush “the alcoholic beverage” Abraham, recommended was so lip-smackingly tasty, we just had to order a whole pitcher. The food? Simply divine, from the first bite of appetizers to the last forkful of entrees. Put-in-Bay, you’ve won us over—this is definitely not a one-time fling!

What an absolutely AMAZING date night experience for my wife and I! We don’t treat ourselves often so it’s hard to spend this kind of money on food, however it was worth EVERY penny! For an appetizer she got a salad that looked amazing and I got the peel and eat shrimp, which was also outstanding. For the main course she got the Upper Deck Lobster roll and I got the 1lb crab leg special. This was my wife’s 1st time having lobster and she loved it, the crab cracked and peeled so well and was FULL of meat!

Very nice atmosphere and beautiful view. Was seated right away. We went to taste the lobster bisque that websites were raving about. It was okay. Nothing to write home about. A little pricey. Portions were kind of small and the menu didn’t have that much to choose from

Literally SO disappointed. I don’t leave bad reviews often but when they are absolutely necessary… yes I do.
To be known for lobster bisque for over 40 years or something and this is what I got the soup jiggled like a canned cream of mushroom soup. A chowder if you will… and if anyone knows lobster bisque (& according to their menu)— it should be creamy. Not thick, jiggly, and clumpy. For $15 yeah I was pretty upset. Waitress didn’t even ask me a thing about it when she took back a FULL bowl.
I will say I come from working in the industry full circle. I’ve been a host, waitress, line cook, & bartender. I would never take a full plate of food back without asking what the issue was or just asking how was it?!
And then I get my ramen bowl… the porky belly was SO dry even sitting in a bowl of broth… it was hard & dry. Like they keep it sitting under a heat lamp until an order comes in.
So a $200 dinner and those place is so highly spoken of and this was what I experienced I can honestly say I will never come back here when I visit put in bay.
To top it off… MANAGER came to our table and took the plates. Didn’t say hi. Didn’t welcome us in. Didn’t say a word, nor asked how our dinner was.
The atmosphere was good. The food came out in timely manner. Only good things I have to say. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here to spend your money

Great place to go for food and cold drinks. All kinds of food as in many different types of food on the Boardwalk. Also plenty of room to sit down and eat with some amazing views of the water and boats cruising past.
