Really love the atmosphere and vibe of this restaurant. The boudin egg rolls and fried chicken were good, but our fried squash was soggy. We’d come back if in town again, mostly based on the atmosphere!

Once you are seated you go back to the counter, or use the QR code at the table to order. It was nice using the QR option and being able to leave the tab open for extra drinks, dessert to go, etc. we got the fried green tomatoes and the shrimp basket. Had a couple different craft beers off their extensive menu. Ended off with a cherry and apple fried pie. Great food all the way through. Only docked a star in on service and atmosphere as it had a bit of a “social distancing” feel with not having a waitress checking in, but all in all had a great experience.

The staff is friendly. There were some red flags! The men’s restroom was occupied the entire time we were there, they did allow me to wash my hands in another sink. The food sounded good but was very bland. I had frog legs and they were over $15 for five small frog legs, definitely not worth it! The sweet tea was not sweet! The waiter asked if there was anything that I didn’t like and I said that I didn’t think the food was as good as it could have been, and then I paid for my meal and I added a tip to the receipt As he brought the receipt back to our table, I saw he checks at to see if I tipped him. if you ask me it’s a little unprofessional but so is my rant I guess! The pictures are our food when we got them to our table FYI food was not hot, if you go ahead and eat here do not order the coleslaw It’s gross!

Nice setting. You can see the inflation from the bills. Read the reviews before you come to this tourist trap. Very pricy! 4 slices of green tomatoes, $9, two devil eggs, $4, 4-6 small pieces of fried catfish plus 2 sides $16. I’m definitely not coming to this place again.

The owner is very pleasant. I absolutely love all the plants she has hanging around. The outdoor seating is my favorite. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth a stop by.

My husband and I loved it! The place has a distinct ‘vibe’. We ordered the half yard bird plate – hot!!! So good it made my eyelids sweat It came with two sides. We got the fried squash and fries. We left nothing behind!!! We did visit during a slower time, so I can’t attest to service and wait times in that regard. Our server was great! They do cook to order, so you will need to keep that in mind. Ours took about 25 minutes. We will definitely be back!!

This gem is a must for us whenever we are in town. The food is always tremendous. (Don’t forget to save room for the fried pies and ice cream!!) Some might like their order by phone, but I’m not a huge fan. Staff seem happy enough to bring extra requested condiments or a soft drink refill, when you can flag them down. Not your typical server setup checking on your table. It was a hot, hot summer evening when we were last there for dinner, but it does seem an older building. Seating is bench style and not the most comfortable, but great food is the draw here and you won’t be disappointed.

Food and Service was fantastic. We had the chicken and dumplings. It was homemade and fantastic. I found it odd the salad came in a plastic container it still tasted great. The Mac and cheese was stupid good. Highly recommend! The bartender made me a blueberry mule. I recommend it. Small beautiful place. I loved it. Breakfast was amazing the next day.
