Had a wonderful visit to Blue Fish in Allen. The vibe here is fantastic — it’s the perfect spot to unwind. The customer service at the bar was outstanding; the staff was friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome.
The food was delicious and satisfying. Overall, it was just a really great experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back again!
Highly recommend if you’re looking for good food, drinks, and a positive atmosphere.
At the same time, he sat down at our table and it was noticeable that he smelled strongly of cigarettes. I remained respectful throughout the interaction, but the tone and approach felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. Even the rest of my party commented that his behavior seemed odd and out of line.
Food was fine but not what I was expecting.

Our bartender, Anthony, was very attentive and made us delicious drinks! Everything was great, from the food to the service. The manager, Khoa, was also very kind. It was very obvious that he cares deeply about the restaurant, the guests, and his staff.
We will definitely come back to try more things and hopefully get to experience the same service we received.
The large hot sake wasn’t our favorite, but it was a fun way to start the evening. The sushi tower was awesome, providing a lot of delicious food for a good price. We went with salmon, and it was great. Also tried the fried calamari, and it was so great we ordered another round.
The ten dollar you call it well drinks were great: we tried strawberry margaritas.
Bar tender was attentive, spot on with drinks and our food order.
Everything was absolutely great.
Restroom was clean.
No military discount.
Overall, excellent place in Watters Creek. Highly recommend!
However, the service was awful! We were immediately greeted once we sat down but then the server was nowhere to be found. Well, I guess he was still around, but just not paying any attention to us. After a long time, we flagged him down and ordered. He apologized and offered us a free dessert.
This was not a one-off. A gentleman near us was given a menu and was never addressed afterwards. He left, visibly upset. A couple against the wall sat and waited and waited and waited. We mentioned this to our server who just said those weren’t his fault since they were not his tables.
They were not busy….I’d guess 6 people inside and perhaps 12 outside. It was Friday, but past the dinner rush.
We’ve always enjoyed Blue Fish and hopefully, this is a one-off. But if not, we’ll be finding another choice.
Lunch specials included many bento boxes that were a great deal for the money considering the quality of the food and the portions. Great service as well.
The spring rolls here were especially good, consider them for an appetizer.
Solid spot for Japanese if you’re considering options in the area.
