We then went to the bar, which was extremely crowded and understaffed, and waited over 20 minutes to get a drinks. After that, we tried to find a comfortable spot to settle in and stood near an empty booth. That booth remained empty the entire night. I asked again if we could sit there and was told no.
Our group was willing to order food and additional cocktails, but we were repeatedly told we could not sit. After waiting another 30 minutes at the bar for 2nd round, we gave up on bar service altogether and decided to just dance and enjoy the event.
There were six of us, fully prepared to spend money on food and drinks, but it seemed our business wasn’t needed. Eventually, as the venue became more crowded, we claimed the empty booth simply to have a place to sit and dance and place our drinks. No one ever came to use that table.
It’s a shame, because we genuinely enjoyed the event itself, but due to the service experience, I’m not sure I would return.
We ordered beers that arrived warm (yes, warm). When we mentioned it, the waitress told us to just add ice. Because of that response, I personally went to the bar and asked the bartender for properly cold beers.
The surprise came at the end of the night: we were charged for the warm beers we had returned, as well as for the new ones. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity had already been added automatically, and without realizing it, I left an additional 18% tip on top of that.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I understand that event nights can be busy, but the service, customer care, and final billing were far below expectations.
We bought tickets and made a reservation for an event that was supposed to run from 6–10 PM — what a joke. We arrived on time and were seated at a table right next to the entrance, even though the entire place was empty except for the bar. When we asked why we were placed there despite having a reservation and arriving early, the server claimed all the other tables were reserved. That was clearly untrue, as we watched multiple walk-ins demand seating and get accommodated by the manager.
The DJ didn’t even start until 8 PM, and we got maybe 15 minutes of the so-called “Cover Girl” show. Our server completely neglected us and even attempted to charge us for an extra meal we didn’t order.
To make matters worse, people were standing directly in front of our table blocking our view of the show. We asked the manager several times before the show started to have them move. He promised he would, but never did anything about it.
The bathrooms were horrific — urine all over the floors. We informed management twice. The first time, he said someone would clean it. The second time, when my wife addressed it again, he told her to use the men’s bathroom instead. Completely unprofessional.
This place is in desperate need of better management. If you’re not part of their preferred crowd, don’t waste your time or money expecting decent treatment.
We had a truly wonderful time at Blue Dog last night! The food and drinks were fantastic, but what truly elevated our evening was the service we received from our bartender/server, Jamie.
She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and drink specials. Jamie made us feel welcome and checked on us just the right amount, ensuring our glasses were never empty and everything was to our liking. She handled our order efficiently and with a great, positive attitude.
It’s rare to find someone who excels equally as a bartender and a server, and Jamie is a true professional. She definitely made our visit memorable! If you’re dining here, we highly recommend asking for Jamie’s section (or sitting at the bar when she’s working).
