I’ve given The Blonde Shallot more than enough chances, and every visit has been worse than the last.
The food is overpriced, the service is terrible, and the staff clearly doesn’t care about their customers.
For the kind of prices they charge, the least they could do is include utensils-but no, I’ve had to walk next door to the bagel shop just to get a fork and knife. That’s ridiculous for a place that tries to act like it’s upscale.
What really pushed me over the edge, though, was the food itself. Twice now, I’ve been served undercooked chicken. Not once-twice. That’s not just bad service, that’s a serious health risk. I wasn’t about to waste my gas driving all the way back to show them something that should have been handled properly in the first place. Whoever is cooking the chicken clearly isn’t paying attention, and the owner needs to take that seriously before someone ends up with a major illness.
And honestly, the staff’s attitude makes everything worse. They’re rude, unprofessional, and act like customers are an inconvenience. It’s obvious they don’t care about providing good service. I even had a rude encounter in the parking lot with a young Hispanic girl who nearly ran into me, didn’t apologize, and gave me attitude instead. That kind of behavior says everything about how poorly this place is managed.
Even the man with the beard who looks like he’s in charge has an attitude problem. If he’s supposed to be the leader, it’s no wonder the rest of the staff acts the way they do. He should set an example-work with a smile, show respect, and actually care about the people spending money here.
Overall, The Blonde Shallot has gone completely downhill. Between the rude staff, unsafe food, and lack of professionalism, it’s just not worth it. The owner seriously needs to retrain their employees or hire people who actually care about what they’re doing. I will never be returning or giving this place another chance. If you value your health, money, and basic respect, find somewhere else to eat.

First time there at 11:00 during lunch time! Busy, Busy. I got a turkey sandwich which was fresh. Additional condiments would of been just the perfect touch. I loved the options available and I’m looking forward to come back to try something new.

I really love this place and the food is quality and delicious. Normally they’re very generous with proteins and toppings. However, for $17, if I’m getting a salad advertised to have a hard boiled egg on it, I expect to have the entire egg, not half a hard boiled egg. It’s such a small detail but it really left me feeling taken advantage of as a loyal customer.

I’m pretty disappointed, only because the food has potential to be very tasty and convenient and I was loving the idea of this new little gem but unfortunately the 2 different dinner dishes I tried with chicken in them, the chicken was so tough I had a hard time even chewing it. The flavor was amazing, it’s just the tenderness of the chicken was off. I hope they can look into other venders and find some good chicken bc the protein is the only thing that matters as you get to an age where you can afford to eat at a place like this and the meals were not cheap so it would be nice to get the quality in meat that you are paying for.

I absolutely love this place. Very small and cute. The chicken salad is delicious. Perfect and on point with the seasoning. With a benchmark roll, I’m golden. I always look forward to the Lobster Cobb salad in the summer. I’m obsessed with the lemon basil vinaigrette. It has so much flavor. The salad are always fresh. Today I was served by a beautiful blonde lady. She was just charming with a smile. Her kindness made my day! My only complaint, I wish the can expand so their was seating. I sometimes just want to dive into my salads!

Recently I ordered for delivery from the Little Silver location. Our door dash delivery never made it to us after paying for five salads.
After speaking with a manager a whole new order was prepped and was driven over to our office by one of their employees. We thoroughly enjoyed our salads and I really appreciated that they delivered it to us personally to make good on our order. I will definitely be eating from here again. The salads were enormous, generous, top notch and delicious. The dressings were all very tasty.

My coworkers and I ordered lunch from here today. Everything was awesome – the food was delicious. We can’t believe we didn’t know about this place sooner! Our only complaint is the prices are a little high for what you get and some of the items we ordered that we expected to be hot were served cold. Other than that, our meals were delicious. The place was incredibly busy so I’m happy to see a small business being so successful!
