The fantastic service we received was the best part of our experience. We were greeted and sat immediately and our server constantly checked on our table. Our food was good but I didn’t walk away thinking it was the best Mexican food I have had. Definitely give them a try though because everyone has a different spice/flavor preference.

Moving to the area in a couple of months and stopped in today for lunch with my husband and our son after looking at homes nearby. The restaurant appeared clean and we were greeted and seated right away. The chips were good, salsa was just ok. The rest of the food was standard Mexican fare. We were seated in the bar area and I liked the ambiance. We were really disappointed that the discount advertised on the chalkboard outside wasn’t honored. After we got our check and noticed that the discount hadn’t been applied, my husband politely mentioned it to our server and we were told that the special was not valid today (12.29.25). We double checked the chalkboard on our way out and snapped a picture.. 12% off the total wouldn’t have been a whole lot, but this just really rubbed me the wrong way and we won’t be back for this reason

We were tired coming home from a trip to visit family for the holidays. This place is only 5 minutes from home so we stopped to grab some takeout. The service was EXCELLANT! They went above and beyond. And I wasn’t even sitting in the restaurant to eat. I was greeted with warmth and kindness. I even had a mishap with my online order and had to call and fix it. And they were friendly and quick to offer a solution and made it sooo easy on this tired Mama who just didn’t have it in me to cook upon arrival home after a long travel day. We will definitely be back! The food was so good! It was on par with good classic Mexican favorites! My 6 year old declared it to be the “best restaurant in the world!!” He was especially happy with his quesadilla. All in all, high praises from us! We look forward to our next experience!

My Husband and I ate there for the first time tonight and everything was delicious! The drinks were great, the service was wonderful and the building is super cool! Definitely do yourself a favor and check them out!
We had the Pollo Relleno, it was amazing!
The Chori Pollo, yummmm!
And our drinks were a Blackberry Margarita and a Blackberry Paloma. Both were mixed perfectly and the presentation was .

So so so so good! The waiter was so sweet and attentive, the vibes were EXCELLENT (the place is so well decorated and cozy!), and the food was DELICIOUS and had great portions for a great price!! Definitely coming back when I’m in the area, was a great recommendation and I’m so glad I came!

We decided to try out a new restaurant and chose this one. After being seated, it took our waiter about eight minutes to come to our table, and he looked quite sweaty. After taking our order, he often wiped his face and nose with his hands. He didn’t check on us during our meal and seemed more interested in the bar area. The food we received was mediocre and quite bland. Moreover, the restaurant had a fly problem; we were constantly bothered by flies and gnats landing on our food. This will be our first and last time visiting this place.The establishment needs a day of nothing but cleaning quite dirty.

We ordered to go since I didn’t have time to dine in. We went with the fish, steak and carnitas tacos. The tacos were delicious and the tortillas were perfect. The green and red salsa were AMAZING. The chips needed salt but no big deal. Very happy to have a good Mexican restaurant in town since I’m not a fan of the other Tex-Mex place in town. Very delicious. Can’t wait to dine in. The bar also looked good.

We visited Gran Ranchero Mexican Bar and Grill and were pleasantly surprised at the beauty and elegance of the restaurant, considering the reasonable prices of the food. We ordered the Volcano, which consisted of various meats, including chicken and steak, brought in a hot kettle-like container. The meats were all delicious. There were tortillas, and some beans and rice that were included. Altogether we were very pleased with the food and the value. We will be back!

We stopped in for lunch, myself and my two teen sons. We were sat in the bar side.
Service was prompt. Chips, salsa and water were brought out quickly.
Their horchata is quite good, and my sons enjoyed their meals.
A good spot for lunch, easy in and out. Just remember to put in enough quarters so you don’t get dinged by the very rabid parking meter lady in Shepherdstown.

I was eating with a party of 5. We had a few issues with our meal. The margarita and pina colada were both very light on alcohol. Both quesadillas that were ordered were very light on cheese. Everyone in my group thought their meals were just ok. We all loved the chips and salsa! One day we may give the place another shot but we will probably go with just drinks and appetizers at their very nice bar area.
