I met a good friend for coffee. We were able to sit in comfortable chairs by a fireplace. The coffee was very tasty. We ordered the coconut flavored coffee of the day and a peppermint mocha latte.

They don’t warm the food. You have to pay a high price and then stand in line at the toaster or microwave to do it yourself. And if you don’t, you have no chance of spreading the frozen butter packets on anything. The coffee is good. The service is shaky. There is great seating by a fireplace but it’s always reserved when we come.

This is one of the best coffee shops. Love this place! It’s a must stop for us when in town visiting family. From the warm welcome when you enter to the fantastic flavor combinations it’s everything you hope it will be. Give the Blueberry Pie Latte a try, you won’t be disappointed!

I ordered a latte, scone and a breakfast sandwich. After paying/leaving a tip, I was handed a half frozen breakfast sandwich. I asked if it could be heated and was told “there are microwaves in the back”. The bacon on the sandwich looked raw. I asked to exchange the item with something else and was told that I could not. So, I asked for a refund. I was told that I needed to speak with the owner. I said “okay, I’ll wait”. I never spoke with the owner and the cashier notified me that she would refund my money. I told her thank you and exited because I had somewhere to be. Turns out my money was never refunded. Oh… and the scone was dry and hard.

Very nice place to get good coffee and a small bite to eat. Staff is extremely friendly and quick at getting your drinks to you. Coffee flavor is nice without the burnt flavor other places have at times. The seating area is very warm and inviting with nice decorations and atmosphere. I recommend it as an office on the go for traveling business people.

Nice place to meet up or get work done. The spot and the fire is warm with comfy chairs. Expanded covered, outdoor area is heated and functional in all but the hottest or coldest weather. Drinks are what you’d expect of a decent shop.

Very cute and roomy coffee shop. Multiple seating options, with booths, barstools, and lounge chairs. Delicious coffee drinks, mochas, chais, and espresso based. Cappuccino comes with a nice “palette cleanser” shot glass. Multiple board games are available. All in all a great place to hang out for a while.

The Blend is…
A nice combination of upscale, cozy, delicious and comforting. Offering a nice selection of coffees and baked goods to choose from, you’ll find something there that will tickle whatever it is you are craving.
Everyone that I know that has been to The Blend loves it. I wouldn’t say I love it, but I really do enjoying there for some reason. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but the place just feels nice to be at. Between plenty of seating, free wifi, a large and varied coffee menu, board games (I think they still have them), it feels like a big chain place, but maintains that small town comfort.
I have only had coffee here and wait… I usually try something new every time I go. I don’t always love the new ones I pick but how could you not want Snickerdoodle coffee?! They offered quite some fun combinations of flavors for wild tasting coffees.
Overall, a really nice and cozy coffee place. They have one of those ‘stand alone’ shacks also in Washington, so if you are in a rush, you can go there and stay in your car while getting some deliciousness in your belly. Definitely a recommended place if you love coffee and are in the Central Illinois area.

The Blend is an excellent local coffee shop. Even though my family doesn’t live in Washington we will frequently take a 20 minute road trip to have some. There are many specialty drinks that we like. My wife loves the Heath Bar latte. If you are in for something very unique try the Mayan Mocha. It has a great balance of
Sweet and Spicy. It has a really relaxed atmosphere great for families and groups. A must try!
