The Black Eyed Peas is a good value for the money. Our drinks were huge! The Big Daddy burger was absolutely incredible and sharable for two. The waitress was friendly but it was strange that she was sitting at a table to take a family’s order. We asked for ketchup packets. The waitress did provide them, but was argumentative about why we needed them. That was uncomfortable. The burger was put together with ingredients that we requested to be put on the side, like the pickes and the tomatoes. We had to separate our own plates to share. The ambiance is quaint, with country murals and small spaces for tables. Overall, it was a nice lunch and a good value for the money.

Satisfying soul food on a Sunday. Ordered a take out veggie plate meal. Health is a value to me and this was a great meat-less meal was priced under $10. My veggies (fried okra, black eyed peas, greens, and Lima beans) were very well seasoned and full of flavor!!. I was surprised I didn’t even need any hot sauce. The hostess. Taylor (I learned there are two) was very welcoming and friendly. The hospitality here is worth visiting in this quaint Dade City town. If your driving down 301, consider slowing down to stop in for a meal which you will not regret. I was advised they are extending their hours even later to accommodate more folks. The fact they are open on a Sunday make it worth stopping in for brunch or lunch especially after a Sunday church service. I made the visit from neighboring Zephyrhills and I will come back to try the fried cabbage.

What a gem of a place in Dade City! Very welcoming, great service and the food was DELICIOUS!! One of their sides is fried cabbage (who knew this was a thing?! First time trying it!) and it was soooo good!! We ordered the meatloaf and the pork chops and both were amazing! I ordered the fried green tomatoes and they were yummy! Everything fresh, made from scratch and delicious! We love to try new places, we are anti-chain so we love to support local and this restaurant did not disappoint! Run, don’t walk!

Nice place to stop for breakfast. Not to be confused with the lesser chain restaurant of the same name. This little local joint serves some great southern style breakfast. I was able to get biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, toast and grits for less than 10 bucks. And it tasted good! No complaints. Small seating area and was pretty full of locals. We didnt stay for lunch but it looks like they have good fried chicken and catfish.
