The Bite We’re not chefs in tall hats, and this isn’t some stuffy bistro. We’re fans. We love Philly sports, and we love amazing food. THE BITE was born from a simple idea: to create a place in Vineland where fans and families could get incredible, no-nonsense specialty sandwiches and pastas. It’s a place to talk about the game, celebrate a win, and refuel for the next one. It’s food that’s as passionate as the fans who eat it.

Tried the Genovese sandwich and it was big, bold, and full of flavor. Definitely the star of the meal. The fries came out a bit greasy and soggy for our taste, but the sandwich more than made up for it.
The counter girl was awesome. Super outgoing, helpful, and actually knew the menu. We’ll definitely take her recommendation on the chicken hitman next time.
We ate inside and the vibe was good- lots of TVs on with the game and a lively atmosphere. Seating is hard metal but it fits the space. Overall, a solid spot and one we’d go back to.

My husband and I decided to try The Bite on a whim, we heard a lot of good things about it.
First, when we walked in it was very crowded and I thought to myself were going to be here forever. We arrived at 5:15 and we’re out at 5:45, so not bad.
Love the Philly sport teams theme.
We grabbed a table not realizing we had to go up to the counter to order. It’s not a typical restaurant. I noticed several tables around me, mine included were really dirty.
Then the food came out, it is brought to your table in a brown bag, so you actually eat out of the sandwich container.
I ordered the shipwreck, Fantastic sandwich, full of flavor, shrimp sauce was so good.
My husband ordered the rage, which is pork, broccoli rabe and provolone.
All ingredients were chopped together instead of a layer of pork, layer of broccoli rabe and a layer of melted provolone. It was very tasty still but he will not order that again. He actually said he will order the shrimp wreck.
Overall, I absolutely loved my sandwich and will definitely return. Next time it will be for takeout.

The food is amazing. The girls behind the counter were polite and attentive. On the plus side, the bite is owned by the son of the owners of Nino’s family restaurant that closed in Cape May Courthouse and they sell the homemade salad dressing from Nino’s. The place is small and only have about 7 tables to eat in. The sandwiches are big enough for two!!!

We tried this place for the first time and the food was great. Enough for 2 to really enjoy. My only gripe is that we left not realizing we were charged for 3 drinks instead of 2. I probably would’ve caught it if they were using a standard checkout register where you can see what you purchase but we left and I wasn’t returning to be credited for $2.25. Just check your receipt before you leave.

I absolutely loved it here! Tried it for the first time Yesterday. Wanted to dine in the wait was about 25 minutes. Everything was cooked to perfection I had the Gnocchi Tuscan and cheesesteak rice balls. Also a chicken Hitman Sandwhich with no dressing and buffalo rice balls. Absolutely satisfied!! It’s definitely a takeout vibe but sitting in there is nice as well. They are busy and get an after work rush. The Orions are amazing and well worth the price. I was worried about salt but the food wasn’t salty at all. 10/10 recommend I will be back!

The service was great, food was done quickly, was hot when we picked it up, the food was very good and they give you a lot! We ordered Carbonara and it was definitely not traditional. It had tomato and creamy red sauce. My boyfriend is extremely picky so he wouldn’t eat it. I wish the menu on the website stated it was not traditional Carbonara. Disco fries were amazing and just as good as they sounded. Did not deduct any stars because the food was still very good.

After reading a lot of reviews, it was time to order. I ordered clams casino, jumbo wings, the Baller, the Drip, the Rumble, Gnocchi Saltimbocca, and a quart of the Shepherds Pie soup, as I was curious how they did it. It was amazing! I added corn to it and that rounded it out. The sandwiches were huge and delicious! The vodka sauce on the Drip is awesome. It would be nice to send a cup of pork au jus with the Rumble. I had made a roast pork earlier and had some jus leftover. The clams casino were good, but I have to be honest. Too much breading and butter, it takes away from the clam. I make my own so I’m a bit of a snob. The jumbo wings were not jumbo. They are the same size that can be made at home. They were crispy and moist and the buffalo sauce just right, very tasty. Just don’t call them jumbo. All in all, the food was first rate. I can’t wait to try the chicken parm and meatballs with spaghetti. We’ll be back soon!
